I have to admit, though lanolin is always bumping her own threads, at least she says something when she bumps them. Could be (cough*GOP*cough) worse. :sneaky:

I asked my boss if he knew how many people I signed up for the club and he said he had no idea.
Im a teeny bit disappointed that we dont keep track.

I had to carry on this book lovers club for school but must confess its a bit harder to run a club when EVERYONE wants to be in it. Maybe I should say sorry the club is full.

Next year I might restrict numbers to just 12 and say they have to meet every week and give out badges or exclusive passes or something.
babysitters club is the most popular book of year 5-6 girls.

You know when people talk about you as if you not there in your own thread? I dont like that. I think its kinda weird.

was talking to the lady who went to this social club and she said some men joined but they got kicked out cos they didnt really fit in. I thought oh no I dont really want to be that person the one that doesnt fit or the bouncer or both

so I think clubs can be good or bad depending...a lot of people dont want to join the bookshop club as they say nah I got too many cards already. But we dont give out cards. They just say their phone number.

anyway. Im just interested in knowing a bit more about how clubs are run successfully. night clubs, day clubs, any kind of clubs. Cos Im a bit clueless really.

well back to clubs

I watched the entire series of the Babysitters Club on Netflix which has now been revamped for the modern day.
I still have no real clue how to run a club.
In that one, it was only girls. It was like a business. And the girl who had the idea was a bossy boots.
They met THREE times a week. They paid dues, and spent their lives babysitting at 12-13 years old. So not realistic lol.
They always had dramas.

My book lovers club I have capped it at 20 members, for years 5-6 but actually the younger ones are begging to join. I now have a waiting list.
Its kinda weird cos we dont even really do anything much. except read books on comfy couches.

Im thinking why is my club free, maybe I ought to be charging fees to join....? Like other clubs.

haha, well anyway, I guess its free for now but the book lovers need to show they love reading by borrowing books.

I changed the passwords on the library computers anyway. Plus I now have badges for the monitors.

Although I dont want to get into a scenario like the star-bellied sneetches....
