I've often thought about how accurately that movie predicted the future. I saw it in theaters when it first came out. The funny thing is that it was supposed to be the future in the movie. The buildings where they filmed it were close to where I worked at the time, but I never saw them filming it. The only thing that is glaringly inaccurate is how there was almost no crime in the city.

Yeah its scary. In the 90s the concept seemed ridiculous and very far fetched. It was funny because we knew it would never happen. We may not be exactly like the movie, but far too close for comfort.

I had to look it up.

They really made a thousand episodes about a world where people eat fish that are reincarnations of powers people in the past got from eating the same reincarnated fish? People must be desperate for entertainment these days.

Umm its about pirates 🤔 are you sure it was One Piece by Eiichiro Oda? Unless the fish thing is a recent development, I haven't watched it in years 😅 I gave up when a fight scene took almost two hours...

Well most anime fight scenes are long but 2 hours in edited form (meaning its even longer without the edits) is a bit excessive. The manga is over 1000 chapters at this point so im not sure how stretched out the og fight took. Honestly there areuch better animes so its hard for me to get into it.

Yeah, it's about pirates... and the leader has a superpower he got from eating a demon fish. In this world that's how you get superpowers. Well... ONE superpower. If you eat a second demon fish you explode. And when you die, your superpower reincarnates into another demon fish. Except one of the big bad guys somehow got TWO superpowers. So far it has not been explained how he got a second one.

Its a devil fruit not demon fish🤔 Idk why wiki says that as its a pretty common fact lol. Ijust got thrown off by fish lol

Thats odd it didn't mention Luffy (the main character) and his journey to be King of the Pirates and finding "One Piece " thats kind of the whole point of the show lol

Yeah, no, I was wrong. It was a devil fruit. Whoops.

And when the person who ate the devil fruit dies, his superpower reincarnates into a new devil fruit.

Yeah it sounds cool but the fact it hasn't ended and it started in 98 I think alot of people have given up on it. Including myself

So im finding out fruit cakes have been used in rituals and pagan religious celebrations for centuries. Apparently an Italian legend says the fruit cake was invented by nun who was urged by the devil in the form of a black cat. Better not tell the evangelicals. They will start boycotting fruitcakes. Scientists have discovered the shelf life of fruit cake is longer than the life of the shelf.
