Nuke and I are getting married and you are all invited. We are registered at Cabelas and Auto Zone. The reception will be held in the gun museum at Cabelas in Austin, TX. Concealed carries are permitted, just don't drown out the band. Instead of rice, please be prepared to throw ammo our way. That is all.

Back off, gentlemen, this lady is all mine.
She won me fair and square. (I can't believe she actually drew a straight flush...)
But, yes, you're all invited...

Not at all, Miss Kayem. I solicited opinions, and received them. I was actually referring to some posts in a different thread altogether, where some folks seemed to think that Christians should be unarmed. They didn't post in this thread, But I welcome any and all opinions. And I heard you clearly that you thought there was a problem in Mexico with the restriction of firearms resulting in such weapons being restricted to criminals and such. I agree with you, that is always a concern. I didn't find what you said to be the least bit anti-American. :)

I had really hoped to hear what a few people from Europe who made some earlier comments thought of Christians owning guns. Maybe they'll post later on. And just to be clear, I don't have a problem with Stuey giving his opinion either. I felt Jon Stewart's report was quite biased, but I hadn't seen it before, and I'm glad it was posted.

Thank you. I'm glad someone can receive a different opinion without accusing me of hating America or wanting to eradicate the 2nd Amendment. :) That's always nice! Btw you can call me Karla.

Seventy-two killed resisting gun confiscation in Boston!

Boston – National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 20, 1775.

On July 4th, 1776 these same extremists signed the Declaration of Independence, pledging to each other and their countrymen their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Many of them lost everything, including their families and their lives over the course of the next few years.

Lest we forget…

In an unprecedented use of federal power, President Obama announced Friday at a private lunch event that the federal government would be challenging the “concealed carry” laws that have been recently passed by several states.

The President said, “My administration is currently drafting an executive order that would directly challenge the states’ rights to enact concealed carry laws.”

We have seen our federal government attack our second amendment rights on numerous occasions, we’ve seen free speech which is guaranteed by the first amendment attacked and our fourth amendment right to privacy and freedom from warrantless searches disregarded. It would be no surprise to find the President seeking to undo our 10th amendment rights. The 10th amendment give us the right as a State to govern ourselves and to make our own laws.

The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Our fight for guns does not stop at the second amendment. Our fight is bigger than guns, it is for freedom and liberty, guns are only a small part of that freedom. If we allow one right to be taken away or infringed the others will soon follow.

Obama has worked hard to deny U.S. citizens human and Constitutional rights. He's been shredding them with a shredder.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit are our protection.
That said, Jesus told His disciples to have swords just before His departure from them.
- -So some might have the equivalent.
