PLEASE DONT POST TO MY THREAD IF LOVE IS NONE OF UR BUSINESS.

Love is everyone's business, even though some of us may appear upside-down on the subject :). And once a thread is initiated, the originator can't regulate who can participate. Before its over, this thing will probably be a discussion of Einstein's theory of relativity :). Rarely does the subject stay on topic. Having said this, my age disqualifies me, but where were you when I was in my twenties?

Just a side note; I've noticed that women always describe what they want, but never describe themselves.. Hard to catch fish that way...jmo

Speaking of the Law of Relativity, (and I was single back in the days when Al Gore was busy inventing the Internet, so never did learn how to try love-on-the-Internet), don't guys do that too? Or do guys tend to describe themselves and hope that works for a gal, because we're all about describing what we're looking for?

I really don't know, so this is an honest question.

Depleted: Beats me, I've never done it. Haven't a clue how one would go about it.

Well, after this response what guy wouldn't want you? Angry, yelling and bossy. A real catch.

Its natural for people to post what they want, i.e; I'm looking for this and that. But its much more effective to post who you are, your interest, desires, appearance, etc.The person shopping wants to know about you.

Women also post a lot of untruths, e.g; Looks don't matter, must have a good sense of humor, looking for someone who can make me laugh ...... Nonsense, looks always matter, you'll likely need a good sense of humor to put up with her, and how sad is it when someone needs to make you laugh? And what's with; "I enjoy long walks on the beach and reading a good book by the fire"? That always turned me off because I don't live by a beach or have a fireplace. Its strike 2 before "hello"... :)

But saying that one enjoys long walks on the beach and reading a good book by the fire sounds much better than "I will fight you for the remote, and steal the best spot on the couch. Plus I will shed hair everywhere."

This deserves an xkcd.

I am not single so this isnt a pass by any means, but it is encouraging to see people wanting to strengthen their faith through finding a Christian partner. If you're searching on here im sure you have tried other christian dating sites. I pray that the Lord would lead you to the person He has planned for you, if that leads you here then who are any of us to go against what He has put into your heart. Trust in Him and follow His directions. I know some churches have events just for young adults to meet one another in a christian atmosphere as well.

I agree here.

Especially those of us who know and believe and love Christ...I don't understand how restricting one's self to one particular race is Christ like or consistent with what the Lord wants for His people. But those are just my thoughts. OP, I hope you will know and embrace this. Also, you can try eharmony, christian mingle, etc, to help you in your journey to finding love.

I was quite impressed with your boldness Eliza5 :) For me,it is important to date someone who shares the same beliefs and values than skin color.....but who am I to tell you what to want...I don't know the reason why u like what you like... you have your own personal reason and story to tell :) I pray that God will give you discernment so you will be able to make the right decisions. I pray that you will be able to discern a relationship you should either terminate or enter into. GOD BLESS you!

Hmm. Well I'm looking for love too. I've also never dated a fellow christian so that's something I'm excited about. If you want, we could talk and get to know each other a bit.
