Well in a way you can say most movies have a sort of ulterior motive, almost all movies are about creating debate around it, so that more people will start to watch it, so they can earn money. Most things in this world is really about money-making and / or fame.

Just the way they approach it all is different, they tend to target specific groups, some movies target young people, others target old, and some even target Christians. Some movies tend to approach their target by supporting them, some approach them by insulting what they believe in..

That's just how the world is.
Money and fame rules the film industries.
