Our happiness and joy are not dependent on whether or not other people do what we want them to do. We may never be able to influence anyone else to do what we think is right. But with God’s help, we can change ourselves to bring about the results we want in life.

I have discovered that if I change in a positive way, and if it is a permanent and stable change, it almost always provokes change in the people around me. If you want your life to be different, ask God to show you how you need to change. Accept others for who they are, and see how God works in you to complete your joy.

Galatians 6:2 ~ (KJV)
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Positive change means our lives will become more like Christ's on earth, as a future inheritor of a place prepared for us in Heaven and then ruling forever a little later on a new Earth, we should not just desire positive change of Christ working in us, completing us more, but yearn for it with all our heart.

Positive change can come from a change in plans, what our goals are in life, let's put this change in a classic 'Hebrews' book sense, we change more to His way and of faith more by desiring spiritual things and not earthly things. And, I don't mean to judge, for, for us all, the Lord leads by His Spirit in us, but,cmovie-wise, we choose 'Seven days in Utopia,' instead of 'Zombiemania.'
Books-wise, we desire something like 'The Prayer of Jabez' by Bruce Wilkinson to Danielle Steele's 'Answered Prayers.'

Again, not judging, just saying ways for a Christian to choose positive change for becoming more like Christ. And, not judging, you, by having chosen Christ as your Saviour are His and growing at His page for you :)
Just, perhaps, the Lord leads me, I hope and pray, always, this thought helps you 'quicken' your pace of growth spritually. Maybe read through lightningclap's 'Growth' thread, now, too, there are many good words in there. :)

Beck for prez ! :) Well said words, milady, as when we move to make positive (Christ) change in our life God moves with us, and, often at a very quick(ening) pace :)
