Ok.
What if there is a virus outbreak, I'm the only man left, and there was 20 women left?
I would take it as my duty, even though it pains me so much.

The above gif is from the dark comedy, "Baskets". That's actually Louie Anderson playing the mother of Zach Galifianakis' character's, Chip Baskets. I only watched the show a few times because my brain couldn't handle the absurd plot. LOL :p

Christians are to follow the laws of the land. The laws of the land forbid polygamy.
Well.. To be fair sister the laws of THIS land say 2 men can marry and I have to recognize, abide their wishes if I own a business and cater to them. Sometimes the Law of the land should be broken. There are numerous examples I'm sure you'd agree with.

But it brings up an interesting point. Since the rationale for homosexuals marrying is they are consenting adults who just love each other, why would 3 or more consenting adults be denied marriage?

Obviously not saying they should, just illustrating the lunacy of allowing homosexuals to marry.

Contrarily so, we're taught to follow the ways of the Lord regardless of what man says or what the laws of the land currently impose. Same-sex marriage is lawful throughout various states in America and Canada. Simply because a christian who struggles in this area observes that it's approved by the 'laws of the land' does not then give them permission to run off and engage in such a lifestyle. Same with polygamy, regardless of your personal feelings on the matter and what the laws of the land dictate, it was endorsed biblically.

Well it's not recommended, but it is in the Bible.
Absolutely true.

Why don't you start with sweet talk, and work your way up.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. I signed up for this forum hoping to get some unbiased, biblical Christian advice on a really odd situation that I'm faced with.

When I was 22 I got married to a wonderful Christian woman. We were married for 5 years, and she and her friends took a trip to a country in central Asia (this was in 2011). A few days into her trip I stopped hearing from her, and no one had heard from her friends either. Long story short, they just kind of disappeared, the foreign country's government couldn't find her, and she was legally declared dead (I was shown her US-issued death certificate).

5 years later (2015) I got married to another great Christian woman. We've been married almost 3 years now and are getting along well.

So now the difficult situation; my first wife has come back. Apparently she and her friends were being held by the government of that central Asian country, suspected of being spies. They recently released her, she made it back home, and I was amazed and so happy to see her again.

Right now we (me, my wife, and...my wife?) are talking about having a three-person marriage. We just sort of mentioned it, at this point we haven't really settled on anything.

So my question is this; would it be biblically acceptable for me to be married to both of them? And if not, which one takes precedence? I truly do love them both, but I need to be right with God first and foremost.
I'm feeling very conflicted, as I made a lifelong vow to both of them. Advice/insight would be very much appreciated.

Tl;Dr My first wife disappeared and was declared dead, years later I remarried, now my first wife has come back.

No. Stay married to your current wife. The marriage to your first wife is over. It is till death do you part, and you received her death certificate. I'm glad she's still alive, but you made a decision when you thought she was dead. You are not the only one who thought she was dead- otherwise you would not have received a death certificate. You should have waited seven years instead of five, but didnt your vows to your current wife include keeping yourself only onto her? Those vows are to God also.

You'd be much better off asking mormons about this...

I can already sum up all the answers you're going to get here in one word....

Lol funny cat :D
Well since your first wife declared death its mean that she is no longer your wife leggally the wife you have now is your leggal wife.
Dont be greedy you cant have both of your wives in the case of love. You know it well i guess.
