I'm a guy and I wear makeup sometimes. Azazel created it for a reason, and that was to improve the quality of life. If you don't like it, don't wear it. It's not my fault that I look better than you LOL.

I was thinking more of drag queens when I made my remark about men wearing makeup. I still have terrifying flashbacks to pictures of a fashion show by a famous designer, of men wearing very feminine, pink clothes and wearing more makeup than I do.

I never thought I'd agree with you anywhere in this thread :p but yeah in general guys and make-up = NO

Some things just shouldn't cross genders and make-up is one of them, too many men are getting into vanity cosmetics  soap, shampoo, hair wax and deodorant......leave out all the rest. :)

Uh no, why would you want to ban something that makes people look and feel better about themselves? Granted too much makeup is horrendous and every person should be comfortable in their own skin without it. But ban it ? That’s a little extreme. And if every good gift comes from God, then makeup is a gift from God..Thanks God XD

Most makeup is to make your skin blend in better if you have red spots or uneven skin tones. It can make anyone feel self conscious. A guy can wear makeup and have it not be noticeable, look at all the male actors on tv. They wear makeup, they have to in order to make themselves look good for the role. I really don't see why it matters either way so long as it makes you happy. Also guys in the past have wore and still were makeup, some of it too is for cultural reasons. There really isn't some things that only guys and some things that only girls should do since everyone is unique. :)

I did specify the word vanity when talking about men using cosmetics, if a man has a skin condition or minor health issue then of course there is nothing wrong with covering it to avoid negative attention or feeling self concious at work in front of customers etc....and if there is a cultural reason then that's fine as well as that has nothing to do with vanity.

But skin in general is not flawless, like teeth are not naturally pure blinding white, I understand Sharp's point of view on this as vanity has gone so far in society today people think normal skin is bad looking or unhealthy, which it simply isn't.

If women use make-up sparingly it enhances natural beauty and I'm all for that, on men it just creates a feminine look which is entirely unnatural and to my eyes even a little disturbing, women are a bit more refined, men are a little rough around the edges, that's just the way it's meant to be. :)

Ah, so many opinions.
Hypocritically, though, being an eyeliner, mascara, blusher put-onner, I came up with this...

`If a womans beaty and charm are the extent of her virtues, what happens when time and trials of life take their toll?`

Its so true, but in my opinion, we should make the most of our selves as women.

I don't wear makeup except for chapstick (if that counts lol) and every now and then mascara and eyeliner, but that is very rare. I don't have an issue with makeup, it was just never something I got into. I don't think people should become over indulgent with makeup or make it something they 100% depend on. That's not a good in my opinion. But to each his own, right? I don't know if I'll ever get to a point in my life where I choose to wear makeup on a regular basis. I just think I look dumb with it on so I don't wear it haha.

I wear make-up, but I don't wear blush, lip gloss, all that crap. I just wear cover-up to cover my zits and eyeliner, I hate looking like a clown. I find it useless to put on blush, eye shadow, and lip gloss, when you can just use a good tasting cap-stick. I have my reasons. But when it comes around to Eyeliner and over-up I like to wear it. But hey, you have you point of view and I have mine.

I think make-up is okay. I wear light make-up most of the time and you barely even notice I got make-up on. I don't see anything wrong in wearing make-up. IT's a matter a choice. I'm not a fan of heavy make-up though but I can't enforce it on every other person since it's just a personal issue.

I'm not like the other women. I just wear a bit of foundation. Only the natural stuff. I don't wear any lip gloss or lipstick. Just a bit of eyeliner. But none of that nail polish stuff. Just a bit of lip stick for special occasions. But I never wear any foundation, just some lip gloss occasionally when my lips are dry. But I NEVER wear eyeliner, yuk. Only nail polish when I want to look good at work.
