Wow didn't no I was crazy lol! Don't even know that David person. As for me being a pastor it's Gods calling for my life many disagree but what u have been thru and been brought of I can be a witness to anyone on this earth.

Life has brought me thru many journeys and therefore I can witness to many types of people. Most folk that went thru what I had to are dead or in prison for the rest of there life.

As my tattoo says " you threw me far from GRACE, now I fall onto it" simply meaning my life in general.
Hi there Coolgirl, welcome to CC. Hope you enjoy your time and fellowship with others here.

Also, while you can be an incredible witness to others, still though, God's word is very clear on the role of pastors and bishops. And women are not to take those roles. Those roles and positions are only for men who meet the qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3.

God does not call women to preach or to pastor.

God only calls men to be pastors, bishops, and deacons.

God does not contradict His word.

And God's will for your life is found in the Holy Scriptures.

And a woman who calls herself a pastor is in rebellion against the word of God.

Women like Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Marilyn Hickey, etc. are not legitimate pastors.

I am not speaking of those women. I'm not gonna argue here. I know my calling and it's been in the works for several months and now it's going into action.

If u want to go against what God has in store for me then take it up with him not me

I am not asking you to argue. I am just letting you know that according to the word of God, you are not called to be a pastor.

And like I said earlier, God does not contradict His word. His word does not permit women to be preachers or pastors.

1 Timothy 2:5-15

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]5 [/SUP]For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [SUP]6 [/SUP]who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. [SUP]9 [/SUP]In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [SUP]10 [/SUP]but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [SUP]12 [/SUP]But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

I suggest you submit to the authority of God's word in your life, because if you want to be in God's will then you need to submit to what His holy word.

Like I said take it up with God I know my calling and it has been made very clear.

I have read the bible very well. And I have already brought people to the church so call me crazy or not a Christian. But I can reach people that normal humans wouldn't reach. You have a very high ego, I'd be careful who you judge and try to cast down that is in the bible also maybe you should read those scriptures!

Can I get a amen!

Well your calling is not from God. And I showed you why from the Scriptures.

If your calling contradicts what the word of God says, then your calling is not of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 14:26-40

(Authorized (King James) Version)

[SUP]26 [/SUP]How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. [SUP]27 [/SUP]If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. [SUP]28 [/SUP]But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. [SUP]29 [/SUP]Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. [SUP]30 [/SUP]If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. [SUP]31 [/SUP]For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. [SUP]32 [/SUP]And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. [SUP]33 [/SUP]For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. [SUP]35 [/SUP]And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
[SUP]36 [/SUP]What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? [SUP]37 [/SUP]If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. [SUP]38 [/SUP]But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. [SUP]39 [/SUP]Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. [SUP]40 [/SUP]Let all things be done decently and in order.

And you need to read the scriptures that teach about judging and going against what God has planned for his people. Pick on someone your own size. And stop being critical of others doing the Lords work. Are you saying you better than me or for that fact any woman who stands for the Lord and preaches the truth? Are you against the will of God in others? Your not my judge so get over yourself and let God deal with me! Which he already has

Ok I feel the need to stand up for coolgirl here. She started this thread to ask for support and find like minded people for a rather unusual lifestyle that she feels called to. She has a heart to reach out to people that most of us rarely think about. She certainly does not deserve to be repeatedly Bible bashed and told her desire to pastor others is something that displeases God just because she is female.

Chosenbyhim, you are free to voice your understanding of the role of women in ministry and if you feel burdened issue a friendly caution to her. But to repeatedly tell her she is wrong shows a lack of maturity and bad manners, especially when she has told you she won't debate it so take it up with God.

I don't want to turn this into a theological debate, but I think this needs to be said.

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Coolgirl can absolutely spread the gospel, and anyone who says she can't is deceived.

I think everyone would have to agree on the definition of preach, preacher, and pastor to understand the views of others here.

Lets say we define preach as: Witnessing, telling about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now lets say we define pastor as: Leader of a church/congregation. God is the ultimate leader, but that's a given.

In that case, a pastor would be a preacher, but that doesn't mean someone who preaches is qualified to be a pastor.

Anyone (male, female, whether new believer or not) who simply understands the gospel of Jesus Christ and has had a real salvation experience can share that and witness to others. Some have a specific and stronger calling to that. If you want to call said person a "preacher" then so be it.

Being a pastor, by my definition above, is a whole other thing. Someone who is a new or relatively new believer would not be equipped for such a thing, in my opinion. Actually, most who have been believers for many years are not even equipped for such a thing. I think it's a very specific calling that requires a specific skill set given by God.
I know there are a lot of big churches who have various staff for different things. I've always attended small churches. In the smaller churches, standing up and delivering a sermon on Sunday morning is a very very small part of what a pastor actually does. Sometimes other "preachers" within the church were allowed to deliver a message on a Sunday morning, but there was still a leader/pastor in place. He was the one delivering most of the sermons in addition to his many other duties.

I also think it's important to note that it's not enough to just spread the gospel. You can witness to and reach thousands of people with your message. If none of them actually get plugged into the holy spirit and the word of God and hopefully some experienced believers, they are more likely to drift away. It makes me think of the parable of the sower and the seed in Matthew 13. If you don't get rooted, you won't last.
Also the passage about how we're all different parts of the body comes to mind. Some of us are more front line people who have a stronger calling to get the word of God out there and get people to that initial point of accepting Christ. Others are better in more of a support role or teaching role...perhaps encouraging and helping those who are already believers. There's room in the kingdom of God for a lot of different people, none more important than the others.

We could throw yet another term into the mix, teacher. It's possible to teach and not be a pastor or a preacher.

My personal convictions using the definitions above: Pastor - men only.... Preach/teach - men and women.

--------------------------------------
On another note, not related to the above: I often see people say "This is not a dating site.". I don't remember ever seeing one put up a link to the site that is a sister site of this site. Christianchat.com has two sister sites.
One of them is:
christianpersonals.com
So instead of just telling people this isn't a dating site, I think it'd be better to also point them there. It drives traffic to a site Robo owns and gives the person somewhere else to look.

Oops. It's too late to edit...but.... I guess I should say what I mean by "teacher" too... For me, that could mean something as simple as sharing Bible stories with a group of friends and giving thoughts on it. It's another one of those things that different people will have different definitions of.

After reading above post maybe I did use the wrong words! Pastor misnister, I just know how many people I can reach full heartily! And like someone posted earlier I go to people who most wouldn't think of going.
People have said it to me for years that my life experience that it can be used to save other people. To actually start a church no! To start a revival yes! To save lives from bottomless pit yes! Not a lot have made it out alive with stuff I have exspeeianced in my life!

Not everyone will do what I do and not everyone will be able to handle what I will do. As I look into the eyes of the lost all I no is I'll be able to save someone from the bad place below is. Even I bring 1 person into the church I'd be happy with that.

Coolgirl, Don't let people discourage you about your calling. Blessings to you! And, to coolgirl, the lady from Israel, et al- Don't feel bad (or let anyone make you feel bad) about wanting to meet someone. Just b/c some of the other ppl are not interested in dating/relationships does not mean that you have to share their opinion, and, really, they do not have to be so rude & unkind to you about it...especially when we are all (supposedly) Christians & singles & the thread says "single and looking...." I thought the same thing initially... that the thread was for people interested in dating/meeting ppl, or at least that ppl would not be hostile to it. Maybe I am/we are on the wrong website... idk...lol

I have to agree lol maybe us single woman wanting a good man this isn't the site. Lol but nonetheless you can still make good friends and people can help you with some issues.
Oh it takes a lot to discourage me I used to be super weak and left alone in the corner, God has giving me strength and I've overcome being stuck in corner with nothing to say. Whoa unto those that judge and ridicual people that are doing works of our Lord and King.
I don't judge I let God do his work on people
