Let's take a pretend single's cruise/road trip. Tell us what it's like where you live. What sort of things do people do there? Post pics :) (I'm still gathering pics for mine)

Okay we're almost there. There's the sign. Wait, did you blink?? Sorry you missed it. I'd turn back around, but the price of gas is so high....

For me, it's a small city in the Southeastern United States. It's surrounded by what would be considered small mountains by some, but if you're from somewhere like Florida then they might look huge. ha. I can go about 5 minutes to see more rural areas with farmland, etc. There are no movies, no bowling, not much in the way of entertainment. However it's about an hour from multiple larger cities. It's a nice place where most people are friendly and the crime rate is low compared to many places. I'd say the pace of life is a bit slower here for many than what would be typical of big city, USA. That's pretty normal for smaller places though. If I meet and talk to some random person on the street, there's a good chance if we talk long enough we'll find some person that we both know.
What do people do here? Hmm. How should I know? I never go outside. :p ..Okay really, a lot of people drive to the bigger cities for various entertainment. Some just hang out with their family and firends doing various activities. Sports are really big here. I'm easily amused , so other than working I just busy myself with music, internet (most of that time is on CC lately it seems), TV, sports (haven't done nearly as much of that lately, sadly enough) whatever little project I might come up with, etc. etc.
I don't have any pics to post, but I probably wouldn't post any if I did. I don't want all my fans and stalkers to track me down. :D

I'm still kinda new where I live, I moved here 2 months ago and I haven't explored the surroundings thoroughly. It' a mid-size city...it has a lot of stores, some malls ,restaurants, 2 or 3 movie theaters, and it's surrounded by other cities about the same size. You can get to some beaches in 20-40 minutes, but I haven't been able to explore them :(. Most people like going to the mall or trying some of the restaurants nearby. I have like a thousand fast-food places nearby...it's sickening :). Others like to go to the beach, or go the other larger cities where they can find theatres, tours, and stuff like that. There are baseball games also and I guess Disneyland is a common place to visit especially on holidays since it's only like 20-30 minutes away. There's actually so much to do when I think about it hahaha wow I need a car....

I live in the third largest city in Indiana. It's a very agricultural area, lots of manufacturing as well. Alcoa, Whirlpool, Toyota, Bristol Myers Squibb, etc are here. Sports are huge here, especially basketball and football. Hockey is beginning to catch on, thanks to the Icemen. :) A lot of people like the casino. I don't gamble, but I have been to some cool concerts there.

Two things the area is known for:
Thunder on the Ohio (which may not continue) which has the thunderboat races and fantastic airshows, and the Nut Club Fall Festival (second largest street festival in the country, second only to Mardi Gras), which is known for veeeeeeeery bizarre foods. :)

Oh..and A League of Their Own was filmed here. :) People say Madonna whined about the lack of nightlife here. :)

Well I obviously need to take a geography class hahaha

Since I don't know what else to post here (I don't want to post pictures of malls and restaurants, it's boring) I will post pictures of some other places in surrounding or nearby cities:

The Santa Monica Pier

The Dodgers Stadium

This one is kinda cliché but I still love Disneyland :) haha

Karla, you should also post pics of the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and downtown San Diego. Those are SD's main attractions. :)
