social torture...going back to your old workplace and everyone asking what you are doing
going to church and people ask you hows work when its sunday and your day off and dont really want to talk about work.

God knows how bored people are when they have nothing else to talk about. Whatver happened to just talking about the weather?!

I met up with some teachers, who answered quiz questions
we talked about the weather, from winter blues to spring fevers. We didnt talk about work, cos we already know what the job is like...its like being a single parent to up to 30 children stuck in one room with them for 6 hours.

lol

Yeah I remember doing student teacher training for two years. I didn't really know how to hold the classes attention of 30 kids.

I ended up failing the practical placement in my 2nd year.

I might be okay at it now I'm 20 years older, but I don't like what they are teaching in public schools.

Fear and intimidation is how most teachers do it.
But then you talking to kids (not lambs) which are different.

If they are ESL children, you have to speak to them using body language, if you dont know their language.

The teachers that have 'it' would use what they call the rod, but in the olden days was a cane that they hit children with.

Behold the pinnacle of social torture:
Ask your neighbour to go to church with you. They invite you to their church which is far away and everyone gawks at you cos you the new person. The pastor or leader asks 'is anyone new here anyone visiting?' and asks their to stand up and tell their whole life story, where they from, etc.

This takes up half the service cos you have a long story to tell....

I got asked about work at church AGAIN

Retired people sure want to know lots about work dont they?? Then for some strange reason she assumed I worked in a retirement village. No that was my old job.

I can understand why though because I think old people assume you have a job and you stay in it for 30 years or something and then retire. This is not the working conditions anyone can assume anymore. They forget that the Govt pretty much started selling off state owned enterprises in the 80s and are still doing so.

Older people either have too long memories or...too short.
They can remember you when you were a baby and look surprised that you grew up and still treat you like one lol
But they cant remember where they parked their car in the massive church car parking lot. Which is now pay and display. Also it needs parking wardens to direct traffic. Why not just have drive thru church?

sorry just being random
There are great things about church too its just not being raised in church theres all these social things Im not used to, which I probably would understand if I was born and raised in one maybe. Maybe I just came a bit late to the party and missed out on all the instructions

Nowadays we are supposed to be global and world citizens thanks to globalization but I had a hard time fitting in my local world and even family so, the prospect of joining someone elses is even more fraught as they have all their unspoken rules too. This makes it sound like I suffer from autism or aspergers even though I dont lol

apparently I am not a member of the church I found out yesterday.

I didnt sign the membership forms. Also apparently I can't vote, but I distinctly remember going to an AGM meeting and voting or saying aye and raising my hand. I am pretty sure that counted.

hmm I was invited to a training, couldnt go as mum was in hospital
then there was this 'church event' which someone expected I woul be interested in and said would leave me a ticket but it sounded like one of those fundraisers which I dont go to as I dont have funds.

Do people not know how much gas and time it takes for people to go out and how stressful it is to go somewhere unfamiliar alone? And on top of that asked to give your life savings to someone else youve never met before?

When you are busy looking after your OWN family
