My book binge has come to an abrupt end. I haven't done anything useful for the last month, and my head is spinning with fictional people and I don't have the energy to spare on living in their worlds as well as my own.

Why do I have these random obsessions with things? Why can't I be obsessed with productive stuff? It's no wonder I feel like my head is full of cobwebs and dust- it's been vacant for four weeks.

Bah!

Yeah, spending a lot of time on line can be a real drag on the old brain energy...........so many fictional characters, so much wasted energy........... :(

I knocked over two trees with my bare hands!!!

Nevermind that they were aspens, and they were just barely twice my height. Oh, and they'd been dead for two years. Nevermind that. I'm Super Cristen!!!

Ever notice how sharing the things you've been contemplating in the privacy of your own head makes them seem so much more real, and sometimes more scary?

Not sure about curing, but it could possibly help. Magnesium is good for headaches. :D So maybe get some almonds in with that, too.
Oh well, the chocolate didn't work, and neither did aspirin or ibuprofen. I'll have to try magnesium, good suggestion! I knew it was good for muscle soreness but didn't know it could help with headaches too. I think I has a migraine. Going to try tylenol too. Actually, its only half as bad as it was earlier because I took a nap.

Oh and by the way, the chocolate was just a joke. I didn't really think it was going to cure my headache. :D

Had a good conversation with a friend on Sunday night. We were out way too late; I rolled into work Monday morning running on 4-ish hours of sleep, but it was turtally worth it. She's coping with a break up, so any prayers you all can send her way would be fabulous.

The wind! The wind!

At the back of our yard there's a little woodshed that hasn't been used for anything except a skunk hideout in years. The roof of it is covered in sheet metal. One of those sheets of metal is in the process of being blown off by the nasty wind coming straight out of the north. It's making a horrible noise, and I've been debating for the last half hour if I can save it without it cutting me up or not.

I don't have a ladder. I do have some old tires, and might be able to chuck one up there if the wind quits long enough to let the metal lay back down.

Or I can stand here and let the destruction happen, just so I don't have to go out in the freezing wind.

...yeah, ok, going out now.

Why do u not have a ladder? If it were me I'd go buy one and then nail that sucker down (or tie it down).

continued...

If you can't nail it or tie it, get some thick weatherstripping or some kind of adhesive foam or felt and run it along the top edge of the wall (or whatever its hitting). You don't have to run it along the whole length, just the spots where its contacting.

I wouldn't recommend putting the tire on there because it could fall and injure someone later.

In a little bit of pain from acid reflux. Nothing bad, but hoping it doesn't prevent me from sleeping tonight.

Tums or Rolaids works good for that and they're really just calcium tablets but they do a good job of neutralizing the acid. Plus they taste like candy! :)

That'd be great if we actually had some around...but we don't. =\ It's better now, so I'll be able to sleep just fine. :)

If you have acid reflux more than twice a month, it is a sign to see a Doctor. Acid reflux can be caused by other medical issues than just eating the wrong food(s). Now, if you believe it's JUST the occasional problem from eating spicy, acidic foods, then I suggest you purchase some Omeprazole 20MG and take one pill daily. This will not only relieve acid reflux, it can also help in repairing any damage done by acid reflux.

It has been a life changer for me since the VA put me on a daily regiment. God bless.........and, if you have any doubts, and can afford to, see a Doctor.
