That's okay. Did you get your gum and coffee?
Nope...didn't have time to get the gum (dad was running late) then I tried to ask dad about the coffee right before but he didn't hear me and the instructor was right there as I was asking so I didn't wanna keep him waiting.

And then I was too busy not trying to cry after.

And I'm still trying to stop crying...gah. Cleanup in aisle 4. Emotional spillage everywhere.

The good thing is I could still possibly get coffee. We're meeting up with my dad and stepmom for dinner with my aunt and uncle. Nearby is Whole Foods. At Whole Foods they have 25 cent coffee there.

I might just have to take advantage of this.

I'm sorry Evie. But it will be easier next time because you will know what to expect... And it's ok to cry too.

Don't feel bad lil,CBS says more than 4 in 10 fail their drivers test.
(hm, that's actually a bit scary. Then again, when I was still trying to be a nurse, about half the class failed the very basic math test of +-*% )

point I am trying to make: You're not alone!
I haven't even tried, but being me I'd probably pass the theory and fail the driving part :p

Aw lil, I'm sorry! But like Olerica says, now you know what to expect. And guess what? You can take it until you pass. You don't have to quit. Let me tell you a story.

About a month ago my grandmother needed to renew her license. She's 82 now and in Texas once you're 80 or over you have to renew in person. Well I took her and she had her picture taken, her fingerprints were documented, she had even signed already. But then we get to the eye test and she couldn't see a thing! The clerk was very patient with her and gave her many tries but she could not see at all. Unfortunately she had to walk out of the office without her license. She told me that she's had a license since she was a teenager. I can only imagine how she felt. We've talked to her eye doctor and he says there's not much else he can do to fix her eyes. She has cataracts and she had eye surgery a few years ago but that didn't do much.

What I'm trying to tell you is that you can pass. You just need to practice more. I know it sucks that you failed but it's fixable. Try to focus on that. At least it's not something that you cannot do. My grandma that will never be able to drive again because her eyesight is gone. Praise the Lord that she had kids and grandkids that will take her wherever she wants to go but I know she felt bad losing some sense of her independence.

So go ahead and cry but remember that you can get your license. It's just a matter of practicing :)

I failed my first time for not turning my head to check a blind spot. But guess what? I turned out to be a decent driver. You can pass, and you can be a kick butt driver. ;)

Now go enjoy some coffee!

Progressive Christianity - it sickens me. There's nothing Progressive or Christian about it.

Good on you, Trevor.

This made me laugh a lot! More than I expected to because it was made by Lutherans.

That was a joke, Lutherans.

Don't be offended and report me. I shared it on Facebook. That's how much I liked it.

Do you all ever find it difficult to stay awake during the day? I find it hard to sleep at night and when I wake up I'm all groggy. My mom says I should drink coffee every morning like her, but I don't want to get into that habit!

I've been working out every morning too before school. Do you think that's it? I use the treadmill for 30 minutes five days a week.

Probably bad advice. Coffee has good and bad to it regarding health effects. Caffeine, specifically, is supposedly not good.

Work it, gurl! That's probably not it. If you're having a hard time sleeping, it could be you're not getting enough [quality] sleep. It hits me pretty hard too if I get less than 6 hours, and/or if the quality isn't there.

Maybe your internal clock is on a different time zone. Like this guy:

And that's okay. Actually, you didn't fail, you stumbled. I failed my Learner's twice (not for lack of trying). So don't kick yourself, dear sister. Acknowledge that you need help. Work at it some more and well you feel the time is right, have another go. But don't give up. No matter what. No matter what.

I'm glad it made you laugh, Aimee! We all need a bit more of that in our life. LutheranSatire are great. I don't know about Lutherans in the US (apart from the people behind things like that YouTube channel), but Aussie Lutherans generally have a good sense of humour. Although, maybe it just depends more on personality than geographical status. Somebody stop me! I'm overthinking this... over and out!

And I also liked the video you posted, Tintin :) The original Buzzfeed video was a bit problematic...

To my friends here on CC, and anyone else who is willing...

Please pray for me and my family. My father is very ill and there's nothing more the doctors can do for him. He will be coming home from the hospital tomorrow and will stay with us at home under hospice care. Thank you for your prayers. As you can imagine, I'm not taking this too well.. I can't imagine my life without him. :( Thank you. God bless.
Dear Father

Please be with our Brother and his family at this time. Hold them all in Your arms of love and bring comfort and peace to them. Be with Zero's Father draw near to him and take away any pain and suffering. Be near Zero too help him to have the strength he needs and to rest with You. Let them know and feel Your love in Jesus Name Amen.

I just took a nap because I've not had enough sleep the last few nights, and it was just the BEST NAP EVER! I love naps more than I should, maybe, but they are awesome.
