So I got home from work about 8:30 last night and my kid's and their friend are swimming, my Husband was watching them. I had this wful dream that my pool had black stuff everywhere. Some of you read the post of the black algae. It seems to be gone. I think I need a pool break. I need a break from chlorine and washing towels and swimsuits and kid's. Yes I need a break from children. I need money to get on a plane fly to some beautiful place and sleep and do whatever I want. If I'd win the Powerball I could do this.

Im writing a Rom-Com and I was wondering how to go about it. Most romance comedy is sex related I was wondering how to do it without the sex jokes. Any ideas?

You're trying to avoid them altogether? Or rather, are trying to not be excessively crude/risque?

How about a romantic comedy where both people played it straight, that is, they are brutally honest with each other. It's funny because it's honest. For example:

Guy: "I had a great time. I'd like to go on another date sometime in the future."
Girl: "Sure. I think that's how it goes. When do you think we should call each other boyfriend and girlfriend?"
Guy: "I don't know. All I know is that I like you and I want to continue this."
Girl: "I like you too, and I also want to continue this...whatever this is supposed to be."

(OK, that made them seem clueless, but in an innocent kind of way.)

It's like that TV commercial with both people saying, "I've made alternate plans in case this date doesn't go well."

(I mean, the opportunities are seemingly endless... *ehem*)

So, this is probably going to be a double post due to my lack of will to resist posting a little bit... *ehem* ...but seriously, on to the main point of the post (and sister littlebit is awesome! Seriously...if it's giving you a complex or anything, I'll gladly stop...for a little bit...^_~):

Well, I'm working, and in the midst of doing so (as it's not always the type of work where you have pressing things to do) I'm working on my sermon for this morning (and Sunday School lesson...and children's moment...etc). In so doing, many different thoughts, feelings, and memories cross your path (or at least in my case), so I figured I may as well post a few (as my follow-through with ideas can be exceptionally fleeting).

That said, I present to you some ideas I've had recently (or not so recently), but never done anything with:

Blog Ideas

SIMPLE TRUTHS (1-2 Line Thoughts and Quotes which may or may not be profound):

#1 "...because HE is, I am."

#2 "It's about Him (Jesus), not me." (OH, the truth and struggle of that reality!)

#3 "I like it, and/but (even more) hope/pray to live it." (Said that to myself while working on the lessons/messages...)

#4 "Scripture (the Bible, regardless of your position on inerrancy) is the written Word of/from God." ("Give me this book!" said John Wesley...a learned man who read many books, but sought to be known as "the [or a] man of one [1] book".)

GOSPEL FOR (insert hobby people identify themselves by/relate to)

EX: #1 Gospel for Gamers:

-Just like in games, God has given us this life with objectives to complete, spoils to be gained, rules to followed, friends and allies to meet, enemies to fight, etc...

-Just like in games, we have "dailys" in life and faith which give us valuable experience (Scripture, Prayer, Worship, Fellowship) [Work, Play, Rest, Learning, Teaching] etc etc

-Just like in games, God gives us armor and weapons with which we can fight our enemies (sin, satan, and our own flesh)

The list goes on and on.

GOD'S PAINTINGS (Posting my best pictures of places, people, and the beautiful things God has created and is creating...)

FOOD FOR MORE THAN THOUGHT (A bite-size [or meal size] blog giving moments and lessons in life that could feed our faith and Spirit, instead of our bodies... If only more of us were overweight in Spirit instead of body, then perhaps fewer of us would starve either way...)

I Well I'm going to do like an anime harem. If you don't know what that is its usually one guy who has mutilple girls who like him and comedy, usually sexual happens. But obviously it would be minus the sexual for the story. I always work God into my stories so Its probably going to get spiritual.

Just like video games, a lot of people spend waaaaay too much time "grinding" (in video game terms, grinding is doing a task over and over again for profit - i.e. fight the same group of monsters repeatedly to level up before progressing to the next chapter of the story) to get more money, get stronger, get better gear... until they completely forget the storyline and start asking themselves why they are playing this game in the first place.

Morning is the only time to mow. I go to work six days a week at 9:30am. Before work is the best time to get some work done.
It seems many christians may hav unchristian attitudes when it comes to respecting the rights of others. Some tag lines make it sound like the person is proud of this character quality. Reading these messages about mowing lawns in the early morning make me wonder if the people involved even care that they are breaking the law as well as interrupting the sleep of those who are not such night owls.
" [h=1][h=2]Specific and General Laws
Laws prohibiting the use of lawn mowers during certain times of the day typically fall into two categories: specific lawn mower regulations and general noise ordinances. In Los Angeles, the law prohibits operating a lawn mower in a residential area or within 500 feet of a residence between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Jurisdictions without specific lawn mower ordinances can still prohibit early morning mowing through noise ordinances based on decibels, the unit used to measure sound. The average gas-powered lawn mower emits approximately 106 decibels, which exceeds many jurisdictions’ nighttime decibel limits. Montgomery County, Maryland, limits noise between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. in residential areas to 55 decibels. Check with your local jurisdiction to learn more about mowing restriction hours and noise limits.[/h][/h]Just one example.

The neighbors across the street moves out. I saw a for rent sign on the house. I didn't know them well. I met the Mom and Dad once and the teenage boys a few times. They seemed nice. Not particularly noisy or unneighborly. Then their daughter moved in, at first it was her and hed boyfriend. I would hear them argue and curse at each other and then they started with arguing and cursing the parent's. Then they started physically in the yard, one day my neighbor, her son and my kid's were outside playing. All of us out there chatting, nice day. They came out screaming at each other, he hit her. My neighbor called the police. The next day the police came a few times. Eventually the boyfriend was gone, things seemed quite again. Friday the boyfriend came back, swearing, screaming, all in the front yard. Then the Mom screams out the window, get away from him your pregnant.

For the teen boys that lived there, I feel for them. The parent's should have never allowed the unmarried couple to shck up in their house. I wish the innocent ones in the situation well and pray for all of them. :(

Just sharing a cool quote that really made me think.

"If I don't feel, am I really alive?" - Vincent from assassination games.

A profound quote that was in a movie I recently watched. It struck me deeply which is not often I get thoughtful about movie lines....

Sometimes I have found myself getting apathetic at situations and people. I sometimes wonder what is the point of caring with all the suffering in the world, it just seems easier to accept it as a part of life and numb/ignore it out. But this line really made me think. Am I truly living how I was designed to live by numbing out/suppressing my emotions/sympathy for others? If you do this you are not really living but being a robot. So it really motivated me to stop being apathetic sometimes and put myself in others shoes....

I get angry at God sometimes when I think suffering only exists to allow people to have a way to express love. That sounds so psychopathic.

I don't wanna go through the motions
I don't wanna go one more day
Without Your all consuming passion inside of me
I don't wanna spend my whole life asking,
What if I had given everything,
Instead of going through the motions?

So, are you saying that I am wasting time taking advantage of my dashing strike/fists of thunder build monk on Daiblo III: RoS now that I've got the 6-piece Inna's set and am dealing out 2.2 million DPS and farming Torment IV rifts? Wait, what was I saying?
