Oh snap! You had an original Gameboy? It appeared on many of my Christmas lists. Perhaps I will resurrect it for 2017.

So cool! Are you gonna share it? Well, I guess you wouldn't create it just to listen to yourself... But are you gnna share on CC?
Thanks very much, sister! Yes, I'll share it. There's quite a bit of planning involved and I just bought a microphone. I'm going to do some experimentation before I record anything properly. I don't know when it will be up, but I'm looking into creating maybe 10-15minute episodes. Something do-able. Yes, I'll definitely share my podcast link here in a non-marketing manner. LOL

Oh so cool. I could imagine it would be a lot of work. Any reason why you selected Genesis? Interest or just cause it's the beginning?

I love the book of Genesis, it's the beginning of all things, it's the foundation of the Gospel and because it's very much neglected by much of the Church and deemed myth.

I never was into video games like Nintendo or even into watching television. Does that mean I'm not normal? :p
Nooooo... Doesn't mean that at all! You probably spent time on other worthwhile stuff. My gaming skills really don't do much for me now, do they?
Besides, I'm not sure anyone is actually normal

No, harm. Unlike the movie series. I think the took their gift of Free Will too far. How many times can one boy save a killer whale? Maybe it was destiny. ;)
Yes, maybe he was destined to save it perpetually. Thanks, you're very kind. The crazy thing is, I am so ignorant about theology, I don't even know if I am a Calvinist or Arminian. I think somewhere in the middle.

I believe God is sovereign but that we have a form of free will within that.

I just looked at the beginning of this enormous thread. It didn't take long for me to be scolded. Haha! See post #17.

I'm kinda like you where I don't know much about theology. But it really interests me. Not so I can put myself into a catagory, but because its cool to see what other people believe compared to what the Holy Spirit has revealed inside me.

I did a few searches and found some cool charts comparing the two. I never knew that Calvin was French either. I think I just assumed he was Dutch because Calvinism is known to have been popular in the Netherlands.

And here I was thinking he was Swiss because of the Geneva Bible! One really good thing about forums is finding out what you really believe and why, if you can defend it with the Bible. I think you are very charming and gracious. It is very nice to meet you. I must sign off as it is 3:15 a.m.

Eek. I read post #18 right after... Are we only supposed to use this thread as a journal?

If we are, I had no idea... I didn't have time to read the 1413 pages before going crazy and posting about video games. Lol

Personally, I don't see the point of a journal type thread in a 'discussion' forum, but Arwen was a lovely person, so I'm not going to knock her for it. Also, she's no longer with us. No, she's not dead. She's just no longer a part of CC. That said, it hasn't been a journal thread for a long, long time. So no worries. Keep discussing random topics!

A CALVINIST AND AN ARMENIAN SQUARE OFF:

"You know, I'm starting to get the feeling I'm destined to punch you in the jaw!"

"Yeah? Well, whatever you feel like doing, buddy!"

Not in the least. I grew up with out television in the house, because our parents were far more interested in all of us being outside, helping dad with his work or learning new skills in doors like sewing, reading, baking, crafts or helping out with chores. The last thing our dad would've tolerated was to see any of us playing computer games or sitting in front of the 'idiot box' as he called it, as children and growing up as teens. I was indifferent to it in my childhood but now I look back on it, I couldn't be more appreciative for that amazing time of my life where that kind of electronica wasn't permitted. In it's place we were productive, active children which brought us all into young adulthood in a much more blessed way.
