What kind of magic superpowers must I have to witness and talk to people about Hell and still sound like a normal person?! How do these superhumans actually convince people to convert to Christianity without making them run the opposite direction?! It makes no sense!!!

Hmmm.... How about leave hell out of it? There will be plenty of others preaching fire and brimstone anyway.
Simply point out that God is love, and that sin separates us from God. So not being saved means being eternally separated from Love.

and the best way to be witness by sharing His love to one another ;)

Christianity is perhaps the only religion that addresses the nature of sin, but because it goes hand-in-hand with redemption, it's pretty difficult to get away from talking about damnation when discussing salvation.

If you're trying your hand at apologetics, try listening to guys like Ravi Zacharias or some of his itinerant speakers (I was always fond of Michael Ramsden), or R.C. Sproul, just to name a few.

So every time I see this video I laugh so hard. Had to share it with my people here.

There is nothing quite like the "uh-oh" feeling you get when you put new ram in a computer and it fails to boot.

Fortunately it is now working. The computer I put more ram in feels much better now and the donor computer doesn't seem to miss the ram it no longer has.

But when that happens... there's always a sinking feeling that you might just have bricked a perfectly good computer.

I'm trying to be a better home cook. I enjoy cooking, but I've been slacking a bit these last few years. It's probably because I tried to keep things fairly simple for the kid's. I've been finding some good easy not to fancy recipes online.

I forgot how good old fashioned cooking with real butter and cream is.

Oooooh yeah! For my Sunday afternoon batch of chocolate pudding I have to have real butter. Margarine just will not do.

Margarine turns baked goods into mush. Butter bakes better, tastes better and in moderation is better for you.

And in cookies! There are brands of cookies that use real butter (Royal Dansk is one) and brands that use vegetable oil (Pepperidge Farm, I'm glaring at... er, looking at you.) The difference is real and profound.

My kid's like those soft icky chocolate chip cookies. I'm not good at making those, I just but the Aldi brand. I think soft cookies ar gross. I like crispy cookies. When I'm desperate to eat chocolate, I'll pull the chips out of their cookies.

Meh. If I want soft and chewy I'll make brownies. Cookies are supposed to snap when you bend them.

They make fancy hole punches? I thought a hole punch was a hole punch.
