yummm....

...making shepherd's pies. :D
Om nom. Shepherd's pie is best pie.

How'd your recital go, bro?

Oof. I would imagine that we might have had something to do with that. Forgive us, Dubs, and may Christ forgive us as well. Hopefully the evening wasn't a waste, though, as I felt we had some genuine fellowship and some good moments in prayer.

It went very well, thanks! :D
Most everyone did great...the one student who "crashed and burned" (but not too badly) redeemed herself on her second piece, so I'm glad most students had at least two pieces ready. I have a horn student now too. We performed a duet and then I accompanied her on "Circle of Life." I promised her that hers would not be the only horn performance, so I performed a duet that I composed last year and played with my friend with my daughter accompanying. The big crowd pleaser was a father and son duet (both my students) playing a piece called "Merry Go Round at Night." Incredibly fun!

I also played the above piece in the video ^^ not quite as good as that, but respectable :eek:

That's where the shepherd's pies come in. I showed my friends how to make the mini shepherd's pies while I did other preparations...they were the first item to go...with the fixin's that we didn't used, I made larger versions today - - just gave one to one of the friends that helped me...the other two friends got other gifts...I treat 'em right! :p

Rachel, I don't think that there are ANY here who have failed a test when it comes to "fear of man" at some point. It IS scary, when you have to listen to an office room hush when you enter, or low murmurs. It can make you feel paranoid. Sometimes I wonder if just being thrown to the lions and getting it over with would be easier. :p

But it's also an opportunity to show the strength of Christ and the joy you have through him.

Just so ya know....for you, I am now praying against any sort of self-condemnation, and for boldness. Cheers! :D
Do you mean you don't think there any here who haven't failed? :p

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement. Unfortunately, there are not hushed whispers or anything of the sort because I haven't made known my differences yet, but I'm going to try and be less blaise and more confident. Not rude, condemning, or judging, just unafraid. :) Again, I appreciate the prayers, CatHerder. Glad to see you back. :)

This weekend I visited family in Missouri. I am now thinking a lot about moving down there within a year. My mom told me to be careful, she said once I get an idea in my head, I'm super analytical and think about it to the point of obsession, and I do know that so with encouragement from her and and God, I need to learn to chill (ironic considering what my previous paragraph was about, though at the same time it shows exactly what I mean, how I'm chill yet over think) and trust God and let things be.

[h=3]Psalm 121[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]God the Help of Those Who Seek Him[/h][h=4]A Song of Ascents.[/h]121 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Right now, I want to cry...I mean, I probably won't. Anyways. Wow...how to put this in words? I guess this is how.

I feel like I'm my own prisoner with this...thing I've been dealing with. I can't put a name on it because it doesn't seem like it's just ONE thing. I can't enjoy myself it seems. Every night since Wednesday night I've gone into chat and I can talk and type with you guys and stuff....but what you don't see is me groaning and just wishing this would stop.

God's Word is freeing. I mean, I still feel like crap right now...but I have God watching over me.

Goodnight all. Sorry for complaining so much. This is probably getting old for all of you. It is for me too, believe me, but maybe I shouldn't have taken you all along for the ride...*sigh*

I hate my internet provider and their lack of maintenance. If I could kill them with love and get away with it, I totally would.

But I can't. And now I have to live with this... slow and dying source of internetismatica.

You're allowed to use my new word.

The man that founded the Westboro Baptist Church is on his death bed. He's old or looks old. I'm sure there will be a big bruhaha at his funeral if they have one and although I don't agree with what he did or what his church does I think it would be best if the world just ignored it.

I think that would speak volumes.

Yes, he's 84 years old. I have a feeling people will picket his funeral.
