Oh man, I promised myself I would have an early one tonight but I am the least bit sleepy. Maybe its because I had three mugs of coffee, three mugs of green tea, a red bull and some fizzy multi-vitamin beverage.
But the coffee did help me play a very convincing roll as the child eating shark. Spent a large portion of my afternoon chasing the Kindergarten children around the playground pretending to be a shark, and the only safe places were on the balancing beams (which were the surfboards) or the play ground, which acted as the pirate ship. And when I caught a child, I would throw them over my shoulder and make loud chomping sounds like I was eating them. Nearly lost my voice and broke a sweat or two.
Its nice to go a little insane after spending the day exploring phonics, letter recognition, repeating core patterns, exploring properties of magnets, breaking up fist fights, counselling children who felt betrayed they were not invited to so-and-so's birthday party, getting bright pink chalk all over my pants after sitting on someone's chalk drawing. They're just lucky they're precious and I adore them.
