I'm thinking I would include a handwritten portion of Scripture and/or journal entries of what my everyday life is like today, since handwriting (cursive in particular) is already nearly obsolete.

I was talking to a realtor who told me she has clients in their 20's who print their names on all the legal documents involved because they have no idea how to write in cursive.

The school's in my district, the public one's, no longer teach cursive. My Friend is a 7th grade English teacher in this district. She told me that she's teaching the 7th graders cursive handwriting. The district doesn't want her to, but she is. My kid's go to a charter school that does teach cursive. My local school district is failing miserably, I'm sadly not surprised.

Handwriting will not be a priority in the curriculum in the future. Learning to type will be the only needed skill in the future, I am afraid.

There seems to be a total lack of appreciation for the past with this current society.. :(
