She is a lot more enjoyable than you are though. I still dont understand why you would post in a thread on something you don't like, just to trash or just to annoy people in said thread...

Also you can call me Eruannon

Nope, she's a lot more enjoyable than YOU, at least she respects my right to have my own opinion and appreciates my presence here.

I didn't want to derail it at all, i was just curious why you chose to place this thread here. Shouldn't it be in 'Miscellaneous' instead?

Anyway... carry on...

I treated my mom and took her to see the Hobbit yesterday for her birthday and we loved, loved, LOVED it! It felt good going back to the Shire ;) I saw it at the new UltraAVX theatre near my house. The sound and picture were amazing! I felt like I was THERE, man!

I had my doubts at first, like... why three movies for one book when the Lord of the Rings was three books in three movies? Plus I saw the less than positive reviews for it and it lowered my expectations. Nasty critics! Made me prepare myself for disappointment when in fact the opposite happened! DON'T READ THE REVIEWS! They are all a bunch of hard-pressed grumps! Go see it!

... downloaded it... watched it... didn't like it: not half as impressive as LOTR.

Now this is the first part of a NEW cycle ofcourse, but i even liked just 'The Felowship of the Ring' better than this. Too Orcy... too Hobbity... ;)

I just heard Jimmy Kimmel (late night tv show host) say that The Hobbit is the longest movie ever made about short people eating breakfast. I'm starting to wonder if I really want to see it now.

Really? Cus the hobbit is shorter than the lord of the rings, and they don't have a scene in it in which they are all eating breakfast lol

Hmm ok. I wonder why he said that then.

Note, I don't actually watch Jimmy Kimmel but I was at the gym and it was playing on the tv there.
