Is it a good thing or a bad thing I'm not on this list?

I guess I've been flying under the radar way too much.....
(crawls back under my rock with my Hint of Lime chips and Verde salsa.....Cheetos are way too orange and messy y'all)
:p
It's prob a good thing yer' not on the list, you might by some great misfortune get paired with me out of desperation. Much better to sit by on the sidelines & mock the rest of us. LOL

I don't mock...my significant other is Jesus remember? I'd get in trouble. He's already like "seriously Belle? I thought we talked about this!"
I have a hard head and am very stubborn so I get a stern talking to every morning. LOL

And you are way too hard on yourself by the way.
[h=3]Ephesians 2:10[/h]New Living Translation (NLT)

Live it...love it brother. :)

I know..I am Capt. Silly Pants...sometimes waaaaaaaaaaaay to much & I don't know how to turn it off.
It's funny because I know deep down part of it is to hide the pain I've had in my life. I wonder if God gives certain people that ability to laugh at life & make silliness where there is trauma or horror?
Or is it ungodly & it's a way on not truly dealing with pain, giving it to God,letting him heal us?
Unrenewed mind???
All I know is,I find things absurd in ways others might not see.
I am hard on myself.
part of it is also because I never want to be one of those people that thinks they have it all figured out.
I never want to find myself in a place where I am unteachable if that makes sense?
Ok,now that I've brought the thread to a screeching halt.....
resume,mah babies!

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments and words, guys. Don't you think you're talking me up a little bit? I feel like you're making me the Mr. Darcy of CC. I can't possibly live up to that (not that I'd want to - I don't like to pretend). I wish you all could just came to Australia. That would be awesome.

So humble you are. But, seriously, you would make quite the awesome Mr. Darcy and you could totally live up to it. :)

Thanks, OceanGrl! I'm learning to see myself as Christ sees me, not as others see me.

I'm good with kids too.

That's great Tintin, I'm learning the same thing, it's better when we learn to see ourselves as Christ sees us, for he can see the true beauty each and every one of us has inside.

Tintin, Darcy was kind of a jerk. Yes, things resolved in the end, but I doubt you'd be as rude as he was. Now that I've stated that I'm not all that fond of Darcy, my PM box will fill with women saying things like, "Oh, but you're so wrong!" and "How could you say that?!" My retort will be this: I was a literature major before deciding on nursing. I've read Austin backwards and forwards. You aren't analyzing the character; you're glossing over his faults and looking at what you want to. You should look at the entire person. Not just the stuff you like.

And this is why I don't have many friends. I'm mean, blunt, and WAY too honest for my own good.

I think this could just about be this forum's theme song... I know it is part of my personal soundtrack.

That's encouraging Duchess! I knew most girls/women enjoyed Pride and Prejudice, so in my uni days my curiosity got the better of me (I wanted to see what all the fuss was about). I love to read but 60 pages in and then threw the book down in disgust - all of the beating around the bush annoyed the stuffing out of me. :)

Exactly! And again, Darcy was kind of a jerk. However, most of the male characters Austin developed were (and are) accurate.

Women like Darcy because they have the tendency to want to change a man, mold him into her own image. Personally, I think this action is insulting to men, not to mention codependent on the woman's part. You be you! That's plenty good enough. :)

Trust me I had three choices and that was the better of the three. I was spoiled in the Christian room.
I worked for AT&T before this. Came from the wireless field then got sucked into the call center world. I know too much when it comes to FIOS, cable, wireless, landline....so I chose what I thought I could excel at.
I do miss saying....Than you for calling Joel Osteen...TD Jakes...Joyce Meyer...In Touch Ministries though. LOL
Verizon rocks. They (and, of course, Google) very soon will rule the air (and the land and the sea) . ATT, from what I've heard, has had poor customer service. Tell me you haven't worked there for a long time now :D

And, hey, PB, you forgot 'servers,' Vz has got their hands in that area now too i read. Anyway, Verizon is like Elvis very soon, they are going to be everywhere. There FIOS is top-rated in consumer reports and wireless is fastest around (except for the experimental google 1GB lines out now in KC and Austin or some rich town in Texas, and soon, Provo, Utah gets the fast lines) As you can tell I have stock in some or one of the companies mentioned, I'll never tell :D

You're other job sounded cool though, yeah, working for a Christian corp. is cool , I did myself and was blessed by my time there, the Lord leads, moved me on. Now I am a stockbroker. (just kidding ).

LIGHTupthesky has a way with words, like Billy Joel, don't know what it is, don't know, but it's good, look at his additions in the '10 letter game' thread, you will see :)

Yeah, too, don't be too hard on yourself, bro, that's what a girl told me I was seeing back when I was 26, long time ago. I was taken aback when she said it, I should have married the girl, I guess, but what it did was have me realize I was needing to not be so hard on myself, and, when I realized that, I realized I was just not ready to be seeing any girl. And, I began to get closer to God after that and a year or so later I was baptized in water and the Holy Spirit soonafter that. I guess that's what I needed, the Lord leads, I am still single, 18 years later, it's like, hmmmm, OK, Lord, OK, I am just going to follow you, best I can, make some mistakes along the way but NEVER leave you and NEVER forsake you, and, never quit Loving you because you will never leave me, you will never forsake me, and you will never quit Loving me. :)

Exactly, Cris :) If he were perfect, he wouldn't be as interesting :) As mentioned in another thread, armor chinks are fascinating.

But isn't the real appeal that he showed personal growth? And the reason it's a good story(IMHO) is that in the end people can overcome their own flaws and gain something special.

And this is totally off topic, sorry.
