Does God have the pefect(for us) guy/girl planed for us? I'm basically just wondering if God has one exact person set for us, or is it really up to us and God will just guide us to someone with compatible quailities, interests, personaility, stuff like that.

I'm kinda wondering since it seems like with my friend that it's like God has chosen this exact girl for me to marry or something. So I'm just wondering if it's up to us being guided by God, or will God just tell us the exact girl we are going to marry.

Any Scriptures about about this would help too.

I guess, I'm kinda asking if it's our job to look or will God do the looking for us and point out the one that we are gonna be with.

Seeing as God can do whatever he wants, I'm sure he could just put someone right in front of you and BAM there they are and you know it.
Is it likely that's going to happen? Probably not....but it's not impossible.
Lets say you lock yourself in a room 24 hours a day and never communicate with anyone in any way. What're your chances of meeting someone? Not very good...unless God chose to miraculously put someone there with you.

Maybe it's different for each couple. Who says it has to be one way or another?

I can't think of any scripture that speaks to this really. I can think of scripture about how man and wife should treat each other, scripture about divorce, scripture saying we should only marry fellow believers, etc. etc. but scripture that speaks directly to what you're asking in black and white? I don't know of any.

I think the best we can do is try our hardest to seek God first so that we make the right decisions and clearly see his will in this area, as well as others.

There are VERY few instances in scripture where God suspended a person's freedom to choose for themselves. Jonah is a notable one. So don't expect to be directed by heavenly forces and set on a predetermined course to magically run into your bride.

The very fact that Love is a choice makes it worth more than if it was imposed upon us by someone whether we wanted or not. Wisdom goes very far in cases where people must choose for themselves. We can study the scriptures and see that wisdom is the key in many many decisions we make. But at the end of the day our choices as it concerns love and God and practically everything else under the sun, lie within our own hands.

However with all of that said, the truth is that which lasts.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
