It's called a bikini. And lest you think I'm kidding, there was an article that specifically stated that men like women in bikini's the most, simply because it reminds them the most of underwear.
They needed to post an article about this?

Guys, women dress provactivly for one of three reasons:
a. There doing it for attention
b. It's suppose to look and they want to fit in and look cool
c. They don't know better.

And as many of you men would like to think the main reason would be (C.), it's not. Girl's are mainly doing it for attention, even if they don't want to admit to themselves. They notice what attracts you, they see what society says will get a man's attention, and so, they dress accordingly. Then it's because they want to look fashionable and cool. Women have this desire to fit in and belong. So, they tend to do what is the norm. Both types will dress like this, even after they are married. So, let that kind of sink into your head.

If you want this to change, well, then you are going to have to put some blinders on and start looking for the women who are dressed modestly. Yes, the vast majority of the fault belongs to young women who dress this way. However, your actions can help in changing this.

I find a woman whom is modest in dress to be far more attractive.
As for the spandex set, if I am with someone else, I am likely to say something along the line of "hey, a new record! that is the 34 thong I have seen this hour!" just loud enough to be over heard by all.
I am so bad at times....
I for 1 too find women dressed modest especially the christian sister far more spiritually attractive allways have allways will.

I don't deny I have a share of the responsibility, but there's another side to the problem and society ain't helpin'!

How you dress is how you will be adressed. I dont understand why some women have this mentality of..''I am entitled to expose myself, but if you look at my goodies, then you are the pervert''..that's out of order.

Women are bombarded with sex as much as men, maybe more. Television, magazines, music, the Internet, etc. tell us that sex is the way to get a man's attention. The problem is that many women don't understand the sort of guy one attracts with that sort of bait and the consequences thereof.

Bottomline: If you want to be the lady a guy takes home to meet his mom, dress like he could.

And guys, if you want the mother of your children to be someone whose modest, then date modest women.

And as for what OFM said about men dressing modestly, I agree. Your daughter is more then likely to date men who dress in the same casual way as you.

Keep in mind, naut, yes, that s correct, 'your eyes,' but without Him (His power), christian or not, there is NO escape a attracted-to girl's harpy (think 'mythical beast') charm.
and stony glare.
2 Cor. 7:10 , or, whatever is verse that says: No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man and, with whereof there is temptation God will provide a way out.

"...the mother of my children"

^ I'm going to let this sink in. Because it feels a lot like talking about shopping for a car based on safety features.

I'd reckon it's a result of the feminist movement to try and bring equality to the genders. "Men can wear whatever they want, we should have the same right too!" Oh but ladies, how often do you fail to realize the influence your risque dress has on men? You may not be turned on through visual, but we sure as heck are.

Why do I get the feeling Liamson is envisioning a woman in sweats/jogging shoes, driving a minivan, lugging a diaper bag and a kid under each arm, smelling of Eau de Spitup? :) hahaha

Let's make a deal...

When guys start wearing well-coordinated stylish ensembles, women will start dressing more modestly.

I believe men need to stop excusing their "problem" by saying its women's fault they struggle with lust by dressing inappropriately BUT I totally think women need to stop thinking its ok to wear whatever they want... Personally I think lots of the time if a women is dressed inappropriately and causes a guy to have "thoughts" its the womens fault.. but then its the mans problem if he chooses to keep thinking or act on those thoughts... thats my opinion anyway. I agree with Rebecca St. James..

Pardon me as I vent.

I've started attending college living on campus and all I gotta say is hooooly cows. When did people forget how to dress? As I walk around campus for stuff I find that a good percentage of the ladies are wearing those black tights that don't leave any detail hidden. A larger percentage are walking around in those shorts - what are they called - that look like sport shorts. Their leg holes are a little bigger than the leg itself and hardly reach a quarter of the way down. Surprisingly, the skirts aren't as bad as one would expect, though a couple geniuses have decided to go biking in them.

You try telling a 21 year old single male to ignore that. I don't care how long you've been Christian that stuff gets your attention! Which is quite the irritant because sometimes it'll stir up desires in me that I can't satisfy in a Godly manner. I mean, praise God, I'm functioning properly when it comes to sexual attractions but my goodness, stop advertisin' if you're not sellin'!
Wait until you see the behavior of provocative dress through the eyes of God and discover the immaturity behind the reasons they do this and the idea of it sickens you
As well as acknowledging the fact that in the Lords eyes as well as practicing the behavior of repsect for a partner that even looking detracts from the appreciation which should be reserved strictly for one person
At that point the wandering eye will be gouged out.
God will liberate you, you'll get there
