You need an app for everything on your phone it seems these days.. you need an app just to turn on the light on the back of the phone to use it as a torch, you can't just switch it on, you need an app to do that.. *rolls eyes*..

Well, it's either that or the torch function would have to involve a switch/button on the side of the phone.

I just bought a windows 8 laptop and galaxy tablet in December. Before that I had no idea what an app was. So far these are the only ones I've been using:

TubeM (to download youtube videos on my tablet for offline viewing)

Pocket (to download articles/webpages for offline reading)

Peel SmartRemote (it actually makes my tablet work as the remote for all my tv's and it shows previews of all the channels on my tablet! Now I just need to start watching tv again :p)

Opera (great web browser for android)

Kindle (for reading ebooks, but I don't have any yet except the bible which was free)

MapFactor (awesome free gps turn-by-turn navigation app for android)

Dropbox (cloud storage)

Sigalert (live traffic map)

Epocrates (prescription drug reference app for professionals - I is a professional :p)

those blueberry pancakes sure does sound like a great one, with slices of banana, but not sure I would want honey on banana though.

I actually have an app that is specifically there to remove apps.

Now I'd probably need another app to remove that app, but hey, why not.

Duolingo is fantastic assistance for anyone studying another language!

On a side note I had a very funny prank pulled on me a little while ago. I left my phone alone for a few hours, coming back to find that my brother installed an app called 'CageMe'

What does it do?

Every 30 seconds or so you are interrupted by a random photo of Nicolas Cage, sometimes multiple faces just pouring down the screen. Really confused me the first time it happened, but hilarious once I realised.

I wish I had a "Rod Serling CC App", so every time I to sign in to CC, Rod Serling's voice would say "You Are Now Entering The Twilight Zone"

I want an app that tells me how handsome I am,while it plays "Don't Believe The Hype" by Public Enemy.

(I'll be really annoyed if someone steals that idea & starts charging .99 for that at the Apple Store.)

It's not the only app that I have, but I have a guitar tuner app on my phone. It's called G Strings. I guess you gotta market it somehow...
