What do you look for in a mate. What makes a girl enough to go from friend to girlfriend/ life partner?
If a woman believes any of the stories I write here on CC, then she's definitely a keeper.

Fool a woman once, shame on me. Fool a woman twice, shame on her. Fool a woman three times, and I'll propose to her immediately!!!

Secretly all of us(men)want our partner to be beautiful and sexy we can say her looks doesn't matter but we are lying we don't want our partner to be like egg in shape (hey figure also matter)... men stop trying to sound religious (God is righteous and He judge our thoughts and desires psalm 7:9) its high time we start telling the truth HOHOHO Merry Christ Mass to you all

I'll thank you not to speak for me as to what i want. And i'm sure i'm not the only one that feels this way. The reality is the perception of beauty changes culturally. Your claim that all men want a slender woman reveals your ignorance of history and the impact of culture on perceptions of attractiveness. History has proven that the modern concept of sexy and beautiful is the opposite of what the past thought. It used to be that heavy women were the preferred body type. Look at the old paintings, and statues. The female images were almost exclusively heavier women, because that was what was viewed as sexy and beautiful. The women men lust after now were considered to look sickly and frail and not attractive. The assumption was that heavier women were healthier.
So the reality is men tend to gravitate towards what they perceive as healthy according to the culture. And even then it comes down to each persons personal preferences. Really, what you're talking about is lust, not what someone wants in a long term mate.
In the future keep YOUR opinions as YOURS and don't push your crap off on everyone else to keep your butt out of the fire. If your lust after someone to marry, thats on you, not every man.

I hate the 1 way street dating game. Im a skinny guy and sometimes I feel women arnt attracted to my body type :-/ yet if women are skinny men are all over her ! Makes no sense ! Its only reasonable to demand what your body type is. So I hate when a guy drools over the fit chick yet is overweight lol.

I can understand preferences... but in my case it's impossible to rule out someone cause they are short, or tall, fat or skinny bald or has a bunch of hair.. lol There's just wayyyy to many more important issues to be concerned with.

It's silly to grade yourself and then look for someone within your range, that way you have no idea what you're missing out on, and when you like someone you don't really start thinking about if you're the perfect fit for them. Some of the cutest couples I know have a huge height difference, which just makes them adorable, my sister has always liked chubby guys even though she has the perfect body, her boyfriend is almost twice her size, I think they just look cute. Girls like to feel secure, and to be with someone who the world would naturally think is not in her league would make her feel even more secure and confident, so my point is umm yeah it's possible for overweight men to date "fit chicks", so they shouldn't give up! :)

I disagree. You should like what you like. There are large people with skinny people, tall people with short people. And they're happy. So, according to your logic, if a gorgeous, thin woman meets a big guy with lots of extra weight, she shouldn't date him, even though he may treat her well. See, when you make this statement you're only seeing it from one angle. When you take that logic and see it from the other end, it sounds ridiculous. People should be with who will be right for them, and who they want to be with. Who cares what either of their body types are?

My sister is tall and swore she'd never date a shorter guy until she fell in love with her best friend who just so happen is shorter than her. He also said he never wanted to be with someone taller than him... I guess he changed his mind since he's recently purchased an engagement ring and is waiting on the right moment to pop the question to her.

What do you look for in a mate. What makes a girl enough to go from friend to girlfriend/ life partner?
exceptional character
delightful personality
entertaining humor
attractive body
engaging mind
alluring smile
pleasing face

Wait. I hope I am not asking for too much. Is this why I am still single?

Seriously -- all of these things are important; however, I believe that the real answer is a bit deeper...

The "just right" combination of things that make a relationship feel really comfortable - "like a well-fit glove"...

Somewhere between 'chemistry' and "the will and determination to stick together and make it work, no matter what"...

( my one cent )

:)
