Ok, are you game?

Rule: write something about yourself, but you MUST have a letter AND a number of the alphabet in your sentence.

Rule: write only ONE sentence , that is all you can write. Variety is the spice of life, but so is brevity, in my game, anyway. :D

Another rule: what # you use MUST have that many letters in it.

Another rule: You can use LETTERS or WORDS that SOUND like letters. For example, the letter 'O' can be used in a sentence as 'oh,' and the letter 'c' can be used for 'see,' and, 'you' is used for 'u,' and so on so forth.

Make sense?

Ok, I will get this game off the ground:

*I own one dog named Piddy Witkinstein.*

See how I did it to show you? 'One' is the #. So then ONLY one letter can be used, which is, of course, what letter used by me? 'I' , right. Ok, by the grace of God, I think I explained it well. Have fun!

Hhhmmm...... you might need to pray for a lil MORE grace, Green; I had to read that several times, but I think I've got it. * Eye C one post written in a bizarre manner.*
Hehe, did I get it right :D? Also, about the "number of the alphabet" bit....hehe :). Just messing with ya, Greeny ;). Although, if you go again using a dif. #, that might make it easier for the rest of us to follow :D.

Ok, dokey, jilly, I will use some other # to state something about me, or, in this casé, about something I like, and, BTW, thx kindly for the critique :) , and, no, you got it rightly WRONG above...

Ok, another example for ya all:
________
*See why I say that while looking at it like a pirate going 'arghhh' with THREE eyes.
________

Ok, let me break down why money is correct and yo urs is a game try but wrong. All wrong, LOL, i'm messing with ya :D

In mine, the letters I use are: I , A , and, see (which still sounds like letter c' so it COUNTS, yeppers, that equals THREE letters so my # in my ONE sentence must be.... FOUR. HA! just twice now messin' with ya . Three !

OK, mines done, now yours , jilly :) : Eye C one post written in a bizarre manner .

Ok, so, Eye=I AND 'C' anyway you write it still is the letter 'c,' you see, LOL . So, you, Jilly have TWO letters and therefore your NUMBER in your sentence must be 'TWO,' or '2.'.

So, jilly, you fail. LOL.

Thank ya, young lady, your playing along, I, for ONE, am sure you'll get it perfect next time. ;)

------
() The sunrise and sunset I see off the Pacific ocean are to me unmatched examples of God's beauty.

Catch that, Jilly, and, all the rest of ya, gamers? Their are TWO letters so my NUMBER MUST be TWO.

Now, who sees the TWO letters and the one # (disguised). ? Ok, I will tell you....

The Letters = I and see (acts as letter 'c' , so, go read my rules IF you don't believe little green me ). :D

And, that means there are TWO letters and therefore there MUST be what number in your sentence whicy can be the actual # '2' written or word for 'two' in any form, like 'to,' or, 'too.'

Ok, I hope I wasn't clear as mud. :D.

Your turn :) Just have fun, who cares if you mess, up, I just did this to give us all some good tricky fun and learn about each other a little more , God bless ! :)

But Green, why didn't you count the word "why" as the letter "Y" and "arghhh" as the letter "R"? Also, would you count the "eyes" as an I? Or would you count it if you hadn't already used it?

Arrrrrgh!

Ha, yeah, jilly, LOL, I FAILED too. Nice catch, kid :)

See why I say that while looking like a pirate going arrrgh with THREE eyes.[\quote]

Yes, so if we do this game right to see I did this right, we see this sentence broken down as this:

See = letter 'c' because ANY word that forms that letter is a counter, so to speak.

Why= letter 'y'

I= letter 'i'

a = letter 'a'

So, yeah, uhh, duh ! Duh-um me :D Yeah, jilly, last time I counted that would be FOUR letters, not THREE. SO, yeah, that Pirate needs FOUR EYES (ya think I could change the sentence and put GLASSES on my pirate since he now has FOUR EYES. Get it, jilly. ? Ha, ha, yeah, I know, dumb joke.

Ok, so, and, NO to 'arrgh' being letter 'r,' the letter 'R' can only be represented in the word spelling 'are.' And 'eyes' does not translate to the letter 'I,' so, hence, only 'eye' is for letter 'I.'

--------ok. Time for anotha' , maybe my Green brains won't let me down this time :).

Can you all see the THREE letters in the sentence in various forms so that my # MUST be THREE .

Oh my, what a day here in the Northwest on the Puget Sound, rain coming down by the bucketfulls and dumb me went through a big puddle and my car stalled.

But Green, I don't see where you used the number three in the sentence. Perhaps you only meant to use it as an example of letter usage. Also, I looked three times and I didn't see the third letter... "Oh" is "O"; "a" is "A"....do you count "in" as the letter "N"? Or is it because you used "a" twice? Also, in your sentence earlier, "The sunrise and sunset I see off the Pacific ocean are to me unmatched examples of God's beauty.", you didn't count the letter "R" you used by saying "are". Also, when you told me how I should've done the sentence "Eye C one post written in a bizarre manner.", you didn't count the "a" as being the letter "A". You said that each sentence had two "letters", but I believe each sentence has three.???

Arrrgh! (Hey, jilly, am I starting to sound like a Johnny Depp with glasses?)

Righto amundo correcto. You are right again. Yes, 'are' is a letter too . Pronunciation counts. Are= 'R' . I missed it, I'm wrong. Green brains say it isn't so.

It isn't. It isn't so. SAY IT ISN'T SO. It isn't . Say it isn't so.

Oh, so, sorry, there , ladies and gents, and, jilly, I was talking to you mostly before I ran off a couple, three lines of a Halls & Oates song.

Say it isn't so, Green! You say? :D
-------
Ok, let's line break-up what I just said and, YES, jilly, I failed again. Please just don't call it an EPIC FAIL. CUZ, I can change the clothes that I wear (ALWAYS some shade of green still :D), and, I can change the color of my hair, but I'll never be able to change the green brains in there.

No. I can't change that.

No, no. And, you can change the perfume you-- OH, sorry, my green brain was running wild there. Bad green brains,. Bad, bad! :D

Sorry, ladies, and, gents, I quite possibly lost you there again as my green brains went on a tangent. Again!

Say it isn't so, Greeny-brained dude.
----
Ok, yes, jilly, the rules are simple and, YES, I need to take less ritalin each morning, but, yes, too, to this game is easy, really, as YOU said the word, 'alphabet.' Now THAT explains it.

------
Ok, folks, the game is simple, you just make a sentence with a NUMBER in it based on how many letters of the alphabet--either the letter itself, like 'I' or, what sounds like 'I' , like 'eye'--you have in your ONE sentence.

Ok, so here is another sentence about me:

I am glad I have a white Ford 4 wheel drive truck with big chrome rims and it comes in handy now when we have flooding in Washington where I live .

Ok, there are FOUR alphabet letters (keep PRONUNCIATION in mind too, maybe that helps you all get it) , either the actual letter, like 'I' said THREE times and then l say 'a' ONE time. So, 3+1=4.

And... I put the word 'four' in my sentence to account for all FOUR letters .

Isn't this game sooo easy for you now? Say it is so. :)

Jilly, I need to SIMPLIFY the game so everyone can do it easy, every ONE ! LOL :D

--
ALL you do in this game is say a sentence with keeping in mind that the # of letters or words sounding like the letter (for example: 'see' can equal the letter 'c) IN THE SENTENCE YOU WROTE hat sounds like letters trigger what # , written one of two ways, either in a '#' form or word form, so, for example, 'two' or '2,' and, you cannot put 'to' or 'too.'

----
**One of my favorite things to do is go out to the ocean as the sun sets and play with my, girl, Piddy Witkinstein, the prettiest germán shorthair/american pitbull terrier one will ever see.**

----
Ok, let us figgure this out together, rabbits....

The letter is hard to see. Remember, a letter can not only be the actual letter but also the letter in word form, like 'see' for the letter 'c.'.

Oh , fiddlesticks, I just gave it away ! Now, so we all know their is only ONE letter in that while big 'sun sets' sentence, then we know to make it a legal sentence that either a '1' or 'one' MUST be in the sentence.

And, it is, actually 'one' is in there twice but that is OK :)

Now, does someone want to try who.might just maybe understand poor óle green me :D

Ugh an iguana, I needed more time to edit. The above explanation probably confuses more than explains. So, just going to do a few examples. Hopefully, helps :)

-- It is not a simple thing being one as Green as me . ---

'A' is the only letter , or, it could've been a word for a letter, like 'see' for 'c' .

O-kee, so, therefore, the # ONE MUST be incorporated into the sentence. And it is ! :)

---

-- Do you see what I see, the world clearly through the true words of God in three persons, our blessed Trinity. --

ok, so there are how many letters, or, letters in word form, like 'see' = 'c'? Hmm, you= 1 letter. I= 1 letter. See= the letter 'c' . So, the number 3 , in numeral form , or, it could also be spelled out number. And, it is !
'three persons' .

Ok, I think we got this now. Anyone wanna give it a try ?

Aww, Cat, I wanted to wait a while before posting to make Green squirm a little more. Hehe, jk :). That should be right. Here's mine:
Thanksgiving turkeys are my favorite kind, except for the turkey sandwich I had a few days ago after standing in the queue.
Okay, now someone from the UK needs to tell me if I should've phrased it "the queue line" instead of "the queue" :).

Where's your number Jilly? Shouldn't a 3 be in there somewhere? Maybe instead of "a few days ago" it could say "three days ago" or two since you're taking "a" out. Lol

(Stares at computer screen, vision blurry, eyes beginning to cross) (shakes head, tries to regain composure)

I'm sorry, Mr. Green, but I have no idea how to play this game :(. Here's a random fact, though:

When I was about three years old, I though that, nine times out of ten, boats sank. It was just someting they did, right? All the ones I saw on the news seemed to be having some sort of trouble staying afloat, so I assumed that "The Sinking" was a normal part of any boat voyage. This once made for a very interesting and terror-filled family trip to the beach.............ah, memories, seared in the sub-conscious of my mind............Wait, that's more than one sentence. Crud. I told you I'm no good at this stuff, Mr. Green.............:D Maybe you should start a thread called "funny childhood memories", and not give any rules? As a child, I always colored inside the lines, but if I didn't like the lines I was given, I added my own.........What would be a good title for someone like that? I bet Liamson or Ritter could come up with something that sounds fancy enough.......:)

I better go, I think I just derailed your thread. May I remind you, though, that it's your fault for asking me to post in it, hehehe :D. Happy Thanksgiving!

Catlynn, the word "queue" is pronounced like letter "Q", so it counts as a letter, making four letters, and the word "for" is allowed to take the place of the number 4 :).

I often have the desire to ride a rollercoaster!

But I fear it is too far away from you or me.

So, now I will have to be happy anyway.

For, I know that I will ride it when you are here.

Cat's post was the best one yet, I think :).
Perhaps mine will be as good if I choose a word or three that I should.
All of these sentences are being "played" by this 30-year-old who needs to get up and wash a load of laundry, haha :).
