some options:

1/ when women try to chat you up or flirt with you, walk away, ignore etc

2/ if these encounters

you have a few options without lying

1/ don't engage with them at all. Ignore, don't make eye contact, walk away

2/ say "I'm not available" or "I'm not looking for a relationship right now"

3/ if they flirt on social media then don't engage and only interact with those you want to

Thanks!

I got it figured out.

Depends what you regard as deception

If am out in an evening and I leave a light on and music or tv on, curtains drawn in an effort to convince burglars am at home when am not, is that deception?

If I change the col our or texture of my hair or wear make up is that deception ?
In the context of your scenarios, I can accept as valid the general idea that 'deception' is not always 'wrong'; albeit, in the context of what I was saying, I tend to believe that it is always wrong.

Nonetheless - what you have depicted is deception.

It may be beneficial - but, that does not change the fact of what it is.

Don't confuse what it is and whether the application of it is right, wrong, proper, etc.

But it is a harmless deception. I don't think God minds that

I mean you could also say it is deception to wear high heels as they make you.look taller but nobody thinks that way do they? People. Will wear.what they enjoy.or.find comfortable..again I don't think God minds because it's about intent of the heart

I have yet to meet a woman who enjoyed wearing high heels or found them comfortable. She just enjoys some of the attention and benefits that wearing them brings her.

Let's just say that it's actually difficult to find dressy and comfortable women's shoes ( I guess I'm just fortunate that my feet are a bit wide and fit mens shoes very nicely)

Are you implying that a "white lie" is ok?
Depends... If somebody wants to hurt somebody, I'll lie.

If somebody is abusive and that person's spouse is hiding out at my house, I'm DEFINITELY going to lie about whether I've seen the spouse lately.

I have always thought it was impossible for a woman to enjoy wearing high heels, but so many women claim otherwise.

The stage at church has three levels, each separated by a ridge of about three inches. I have tried standing with my heels at the top of one ridge and my toes at the bottom... NO WAY anybody could be comfortable walking like that.

Not really a lie though to leave a light on and music playing to deter burglars. It Is common sense . Lies are about intending to receive someone for selfish reasons

protecting your property is not a selfish reason. People shouldn't steal, so God has no sympathy with the burglars anyway

actually telling a lie would be sin though. Giving a wrong impression could be sin but depends on why

I don't want to derail the thread too much so will try to keep this brief. I think it is wrong to tell a lie intentionally. However sometimes we "lie" without meaning to

For example, the leaving your lights on to receive a burglar into thinking you're at home . I never thought of that as lying until someone told me it could be looked at that way. Therefore I wasn't sinning because I didn't intend to lie as such.

Ditto with wearing high heels or during your hair. A pastor was preaching that this is sin because it is lying, pretending your hair isn't grey or whatever or that you're taller than you are. But I when I do these things I don't do them with bad motive. So again, am technically lying but my heart isn't being sinful.

That is what I mean by we all lie in small ways but it becomes sin if we are doing it for bad reason or we.convicted that we are lying

The biblical term for lying is false witness. Slander for example is v serious which is why God says he hates a tongue that tells lies

A lie is a deliberately false statement.

If its a situation involving deception then you might have to tell a lie because of it.

but thats rather stupid to say to a burglar, well actually Im not home but pretended I was because in what situation would you ever talk to one.

If you wore a ring and someone asked you are married are you going to lie and say YES I am when you arent.
Or are you going to say well no I'm actually not Im just faking it.

You choose.
