"God knows what is hiding in those weak and drunken hearts..."
I might add, the really nice thing is, God also cares. ^u^
I was thinking about something someone on here said, about how they were realizing that they would need years of therapy to get over all of the stuff in their head before they would be a whole person.
But the truth is, all the therapy in the world won't fix all the hurts a person incurs just by being born into this world. It can help, but it won't fix everything, or even most of it. I've thought many times that it would take years of therapy to get my head screwed on the right direction... and I'm pretty normal (read, "normal" as in, "hasn't endured especially more than a lot of people," not "is actually normal". I still like hanging out in graveyards and therapy can't fix that
).
God is the only One who can provide true healing where it will make a difference; everything else is either a man-made band-aid. The closer we walk with Him, the more whole we will become, even if we don't see it at first; and God can and does provide marvelous healing to those who believe He can and will... but we shouldn't ever expect ourselves or expect it of anyone else to be
completely emotionally "fixed" this side of Heaven.
On this earth, all of us are damaged goods... which is why God's grace can shine through our infirmities.
