I believe there is one special girl out there for me,
one "special someone" who understand me perfectly.

And that's why she's been hiding...
because she understands me perfectly.

Reminds me of a poem:

Once upon a time
In a fortune telling place
A pretty lady read my mind
And then she slapped my face!

Regardless of whether Gsusjunkie is sure about his statement or not, I am 100% sure that you took that verse 100% of context. Isaiah 34 has absolutely NOTHING to do about lacking a mate. That chapter is about judgement on sinful nations, and how God will eventually lay all of them so desolate that the only things that will inhabit their lands are UNCLEAN ANIMALS. Read the whole chapter, and Isaiah lists all the animals that will inhabit the lands of sinful nations after God has laid waste to them, and they are animals that are listed as unclean in Levitical law. The specific verse you reference has Isaiah pointing out that every single one of these unclean animals will not lack for a mate, so that they can basically populate and take over the land.

That verse had absolutely NOTHING to do with God promising us "The One."

"The One" is NOT Biblical. Christ makes this perfectly clear when He deals with the Sadducees' question about the widow with seven husbands.

Jesus talks about God taking care of us and comparing us to nature " consider the birds of the field" . Taking scripture out of context is when it doesn't align itself with any other scripture or even contradicts other scriptures. God has set laws in nature, and more so with humans. If you don't want to agree with that then that's your choice.

Honestly what helped me ( and still is) is that years ago I prayed that God would either guide me toward the person best fitting for me or to give me grace to be content in whatsoever state I am. He has done just that. :)

What do you do when your "waiting" on God to send you someone? I feel like God wants me to wait, but I have my moments, like Im sure everyone else does where I want to go find it myself. I know Im not ready. I know I don't have a desire to be with anyone particular, but I know Im getting older and I just thought at 29 I would be married with a family by now. I don't know what God is doing. I just sometimes feel betrayed by God at times.

What do you do though when you want to seek or grow impatient?

I have spent the past few years walking alone and waiting for The Kings perfect partner for me. Some day are hard and some days I praise Him that I don't have a partner at this point in time..... (They didn't have to see mistake I just made).. God always has His way of refocusing me on the fact of His time in His way because it's His plan. Sunsets at sea can be a little tuff at times but I know someday I'll see them with Gods gift to me.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for sharing your story.

God is not late and He is never too late.

Naturally, it is painful and discouraging to have to wait for a long time, but God's timing is the best. He loves us
so much that He will never be in a hurry to give or allow us to have something that might hurt us.

Our heavenly father cares about both the smallest and the biggest things in our lives. He cares about us even when
we don't care about ourselves. He thinks about us even when we forget about ourselves. (Jeremiah 29:11)

May your eyes be opened to see God's plan for your life in the name of Jesus. Amen!

God loves you!

if it's any consolidation. I know exactly how you feel. I feel the exact same way and at times it's very hard to cope with.
