I find it inspirering to see how people use their skills at church or otherwise serving God and the body of Christ.

Earlier I used to play at services at the student church and I continued that for a bit when I moved to Finland as well. I miss that, and I hope to do it again soon. I was also a part of the team leading the children's choir when I studied. In Finland I taught at the parish' music school and played in their orchestra.

Now I volunteer as a translator in the Bible app. I took a break for over a year, because I was too depressed and worn out. I am happy to be back, though. It is great to translate bible reading plans both to make them more accessible to Norwegian speakers, but also to study them myself.

I would love to hear what you guys do, as I believe all of us can do something, and sharing your experiences can inspire others.

I'm part of our church's praise and worship team. And I help with the kids SS when needed. I also have a group of young girls that I meet for BS (which has not been going well because they are all busy). And some of them said they don't want to "study" about Him anymore. Please help me pray for them - that they will hunger for more of Him; that they will have a special encounter with Him.

Thank you. Your prayers are very much appreciated.

Here's a glimpse of what I do: https://hanzhen71317.wordpress.com/2018/04/19/an-heartwarming-surprise/

I sing songs that I've written through the Holy spirit without need for instruments or background music.

Remind me not to go to Maxwell's church without covering my head, having my hair neatly in a bun, no jewlery, no make up and trying hard to looking meek. And of course no speaking in church.
And then release the kraken and watch them all scatter!(Joefizz was never here)

Hmmm well I did share one song with that new member and song writer,"I want my rib back" and he he never posted so I guess I'll share the same song,"lyrics only" as I did with him and naturally take into account that it was my "very first song" so it might look a bit scattered and it's a repetitive short song...will be a minute...

[100,000 in life](pronounced a hundred thousand in song)
chorus»100,000 people and
100,000 days
100,000 people and
100,000 ways«end chorus then repeat after every verse except last verse
------------------------------------------------------
starting verse»to turn
god(how it's written on the paper wasn't too keen on capitalizing God's name)away or know him today I hope and I pray that god will light your way to know him someday«stretch last word
repeat chorus»
------------------------------------------------------
second verse»to learn a new way
you'll have another day
because god loves you today
please don't delay because
there is always A way«stretch last word
repeat chorus»
------------------------------------------------------
final verse»to bless everyday
god is the only way
he'll give you more days
he'll give you more ways
but without him there's
no way to go in Life«stretch last word further
------------------------------------------------------

When you said the "I want my rib back," for some weird reason I was thinking you were saying you wanted your rip back. (People who have been here a few years may know what I'm talking abotu.)

As for church ministry, I'm usually involved in someway in the music ministry. I have sung in choirs, but not I mainly play viola or violin in Orchestras. I've also helped in children's choir and youth choir as well as some other things.
