Proverbs 31:7

Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

You might want to add the surrounding verses for context...

6Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
7Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
8Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

I mean... there's a point to those verses, but that doesn't say you can't have alcohol, it says don't get hammered. Some people can't seem to avoid getting hammered, so for some it's probably better that they have no alcohol... others may have a bit more self discipline.

Why many prophet were told not to take alcohol like Samson's mother and other biblical women who carried prophets were denied from dringking alcohol
Ever hear of fetal alcohol syndrome, real hard to have a prophet baby when youve drowned his brains in booze for 9 months.

Yeah I posted the wrong one, but no it does not say drinking at all is wrong nor do I believe casual drinking is wrong.
A glass of wine a day is fine and does have health benefits.

Jesus even turned water to wine, and anybody who knows Jewish wedding customs from those days knows if was not unfermented wine.

Christ Himself created wine for people to drink at a wedding feast. (Yes, wine, not fruit juice. No one seriously says, "Whoa, you brought out the GOOD fruit juice AFTER everyone got...uh...sober...on the cheap fruit juice first? No one ever does THAT!")

The apostle Paul instructs his apprentice in I Timothy 5 that he should drink wine for its medicinal purposes.

In describing God's blessings and bounty, the Psalmist praises God for allowing a harvest of fruit for making wine in Psalm 104.

In Genesis 14, when Abraham is returning from the slaughter of the kings, he meets God's first high priest, Melchizadek. The priest presents Abraham with a gift of bread and...wait for it...wine.

Taking alcohol? "Taking" anything is wrong... it's stealing. "Thou shalt not steal."
If i take my gf to the doctors i'm not stealing her. Oh snap! Shut down!

;)

But you did steal her heart. ;)
True. =D
But that was previously. Taking her to the doctor (theoretically in this whole thing) is still not stealing.

So if I take pride in this music track I'm making it is stealing, but if I take offense at what you said it's not stealing?

I need a map. Or a flowchart or diagram or something.

I heard a pastor once say "asking me if alcohol is ok for you to drink is the wrong question. You need to be asking God what you can do to become more like jesus" I always apply that when I have certain questions about things I should or shouldn't be doing. Does it make me more like jesus? Or does it bring me closer to God? I just thought I would throw that out there in the discussion.
