So, I've recently started learning how to swing dance (Lindy Hop and East Coast styles in particular). It's one of those things I've always been interested in... but just never had the opportunity to learn. I'm very fortunate that my mother watches my son for me so that I can go take the group lessons. It's been absolutely fantastic so far and a great weekly chance for me to have "me time" so to speak.

So I got to thinking... is there something you've always wanted to learn or try? :D

My mom used to be pretty good at sign language. :) I only know some basics and what my son has learned on "Baby's First Signs" LOL.

Ooh... flying lessons. More power to ya. That would terrify me. :) I'm somewhat afraid of flying though.

And i would like to see the movie "Soul surfer" too but i suspect that i will cry with that movie so i havent seen it yet ;)

How to make the perfect bread.

I make it and its pathetic. Women at my church, though they make home made bread look so good it could be in a magazine.

If I can make decent bread, Id never buy store bought bread again.

I have a severe to profound hearing loss so I always thought it would be awesome to learn sign language. I am not one that is much into dancing but I did enjoy learning a few ''moves'' at camp this summer from my little campers; they can sure show adults a thing or two! I would love to learn the violin (not doing so well on that) and the trumpet!

I did always want to learn how to dance. XD

This past year I've taken up sewing and knitting which I had always wanted to learn. It's pretty awesome to actually see a product after you've spent time and energy learning how to make it. :)

lNooooooo ., LOL. But, I wouldn't mind learning to sing. That is a good one, I have spent a little time in a mens choir but, nope, not what I was trying to say, I do sing karaoke occassionally when friends go out.

Catty said she wants to learn to dance, I too would like to learn to dance better , I have been in my church's Christmas play, but only in an improvisational couple scenes, . The church X-mas play is a major production type play, 20 performances over three weeks December and even end November sometimes if that weekend falls on a weekend.

lizzietheone, I will give you a hint K.

What am I doing when I do this?

S - W - E - D - I - S - H :)

A second language. I'm leaning towards Spanish however I have also considered different Asian dialects as well as sign language.

Also, this is going to sound strange some but .... History has always been one of my best subjects. After my conversion, church history became of keen interest, especially after I began to look at and compare modern Christianity to Christianity as it is portrayed in the Bible. The two look absolutely nothing alike. That's when I began to delve deep into church history, in search of people whom God has used most effectively throughout the centuries. I'm infatuated with their testimonies and why they believe the things they do. I then to pursue these things in my own Christian walk hoping to formulate a practical yet experiential theology which matches the scriptures that can be lived out in everyday life. I guess you could say that this is my mission in life.
