My current home is pretty dumpy, it's all I can afford, but, I totally look forward to arriving there each day after work!! I feel comfortable here and at peace. That is due, in large part I am sure to making sure God is welcome and present here.

For me, home is the place I currently live in. The place radiates warmth and my room is my own "sanctuary". It is my personal space and I am not very comfortable opening it up to anybody, except to my parents. That being said, I have travelled a lot over the last couple of years, so much that I have hopped from one city to another, sometimes living out of a suitcase for even a week! My first job took me to another city and I (literally!) lived out of a suitcase for 9 months.

This mix of emotions, of feeling connected and disconnected at the same time, has made me realize that I will probably not be able to stay in one place for too long. I guess I would like to "make a home" wherever I went, but not stay in it for a very long time.

Currently my flat isn't a home

- It is rented so I am not allowed to put anything (ANYTHING) on the walls or make major changes
- I spend most of my not-work time outdoors or in cafes etc.
- I will probably be moving soon anyway

A home needs:
- Curtains
- Books
- Rugs/ carpets
- Knick knack
- Pictures on the walls

For me, home is where the memories are.. where you can still find your way around in the dark.. where the loneliness can sometimes be overwhelming.. where your angels watch over you as you sleep..
