Where is the best place to find a Christian woman besides church?

Please do not say Heaven or I will cry. ha ha

Anyway, it is only a slight dilemma since I am sure God will pick the right person to share my life with. I am just shooting this out online to see if there is another possibility I have yet to consider. Currently my church does not have any eligible ladies and online dating seems like a costly stab in the dark to take without extensive preparation.

I am probably just making excuses, but I extremely dislike having to turn girls down after getting to know them simply because they are not willing to live a life of faith as I have chosen. However, it makes me feel even more stupid if I were to approach bringing a person to faith while trying to date them. It seems either way it is set up for something to backfire. However, that is just me caring about other people's feelings and not wanting anyone to feel bad. I pray that God may be able to aid me through one of you since He truly does work in mysterious ways.

Become a christian activist of some sort, like a pro-life activist.

I struggle with the same issue myself. I moved to Idaho about a year ago. I have had trouble even finding a church, let alone a single man that is actually a possibility. The churches here do not even have singles groups. Not that church is a pick up place, but it would be nice to meet some men and women in my area that are in a similar situation in life as I am. Being a single mom for the first time in my life makes it hard to even get out let alone meet anyone.

The hardest thing about dating websites I have found is that you have no control over who contacts you. When I joined up, several men contacted me but I found out that many of them were seperated. I have very high standards and I am not willing to date someone who is still married. Its hard to be single. Bottom line there are no perfect people, just keep an open mind and know what you are looking for.

I would say going to another church , one with a big singles group, on a off-night of your regular Sunday service .

Best way to meet girls? Prayer. Ask ANYTHING in His name and it shall be added unto you. So if you ask for a girl in the right way, He will, in His timing , of course , give her to you.

Excellent zere, as our church participated in a churchwide Friday night feeding the homeless event and there were a few what I would call, or, 'who,' rather, faith girls. Because this event was in the slum área of the city, even going on into the dark of cold nights.

This place/way of meeting a girl is not a activist event, but a churches activity. That counts doesn't it :D

Also, while here, matt. 7:7 speaks of asking God for what we want and receiving, + there is verse in here of seeketh and findeth, so... be pro-active in your girl search for where you looketh for her.

Also, I will say to you kindChristman, to read Matthew 21:22.

Keep with the right attitude , too, as , maybe God wants you to wait awhile before hitching you up .
Bottom line: Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and ALL these things will be added unto you.

In this casé ,it is one thing, a girl, LOL. OK, ladies, just KIDDING, you are not 'things,' You are , hmmmm, all I can come up with is lovely . :)

For me another good idea to meet Christian singles is to attend the various types of community events organized by the Church better still offer to volunteer for the organization of these events since that will give you more opportunities to get to know all the single men in your community who share your faith.

but seriously, visit different singles groups in the area, putting yourself in the company of other singles is key.l

Thanks everyone for your responses and humor!

I am definitely not trying to get ahead of my place and start yelling to God about why is my future wife taking soo long to find along with the fries and shake I ordered. I'm sure his plan is far, FAR above and beyond me that it will probably end up falling in place right on top of me when I completely did not expect it.

It would be a huge blessing if I had the courage and wisdom required to become a pastor. Alas, my overwhelming fear of being responsible for other people's spiritual welfare and being in the spot light constantly leaves me scared silly. Otherwise seminary might be a good option if I was training for the ministry or loved kids enough to be able to teach worth a hoot. Hopefully God will continue to guide me to the best place where I am needed.

You obviously already know this, but let it serve as a kind reminder if anything. Don't ever catch up with a non-believer or someone who has beliefs that are too different from yours. Don't be tricked to think "oh, maybe they'll change...", about such you cannot know anything. Be sure it is a matching match before you start the courtship. Good luck to ya!

BTW i never try to look for dating sites but some says it may also be helpful so look for a christian dating site which fulfils the needs of Christian singles like you.
