Maybe I'm wrong, but judging by her pic, she doesn't really look like the shy type.
Haha yeh I'm an introvert and was shy when I'm little hiding behind mums dress instead of talking sorry but looks outgoing and talkative - not a put down you'll have fun. Photos sometimes we can know people temperaments and discern some spiritual stuff but yeah if zt is saying and myself its probably so# All gud#
There's positives around when I get a man to court were gonna have fun cause as an introvert I'm kinesthetic I'd rather do stuff with him andvand sports less talking for3 hours straight #guys like that nudge nudge

Slight tangent but I'll carry on I'm a chick I talk! Haha he'll be fortunate my Italian boo cause there's not many of us around (25% of the worlds population is introverts) OK off tangent mode switch the switch back to the thread topic

I suggest you take her to a restaurant. This way you can talk to her more easily. What if she doesn't like rock music? :p

You can start small and take her out for lunch if you can't think of anything. If you really like her then just pay for the concert if it's worth it

Might try the lunch date just to get to know her more like her likes and interest.

I would be shocked if she doesn't like rock music. Still people might have different musical taste and not like certain type of music.

Maybe, just maybe she might ask you out on a date, and or she may suggest
a place you could go. We women have opinions as well. :p

How about a picnic in a park or on the beech (weather permitting).
Or a restaurant in a quiet country pub.
What about going to church Sunday morning then going for a coffee somewhere.

Things like rock concerts can wait for another time, you need to see if she says yes
first before leaping in the deep end and splashing out on tickets for concerts.

Why not start off by getting her number and just talking to her? A few conversations may give you better feel for if you guys are compatible and the kinds of things you'd enjoy together

After church, ask her if she'd like to go somewhere for coffee. After you start to talk to her for real, you might find out you have nothing in common or you might find out you do. Then you can ask her for an official date. All the women here have pretty much said the same thing, a rock concert is not an ideal first date experience because you can't have a conversation.

Get an email address from her and then send her a list of "get to know you" questions. This questions can be explored(discussed in more detail) in a later conversation(s). This ought make it a lot easier to start a conversation.

Some ideas are below. Some serious and some for fun. Very easy to google "questions to ask a date" for more ideas.

1. Favorite _____? (e.g. - food, color, season, movie, tv show, music group)
2. Name 3 places you would like to see in your lifetime.
3. Person from history you'd like to meet.
4. Something that made you laugh.
5. Favorite Bible verse. Why?
6. Outdoor activities you like?
7. Indoor activities you like?
8. TP roll stream top going down or from behind and down?
9. Odd or even?
10. Rock concert or museum?

Think of it this way. You don't want to see a chick flick...maybe she feels the same way about rock music. I know I don't like it very much. It's too loud.

But if she seems like the type of girl that would enjoy that, then do it. You know her better than we do. ;)

Maybe I'm a bit strange but if someone asked me for a date, I wouldn't give my email
address to them until I knew them better and knew how I felt about them.

I wouldn't even give them my phone number until I knew more about them, arrangements
would just have to be made in person.

That would require asking her opinion.

I don't really recommend giving up your male dominance by enticing a woman to give an opinion.

If you just stuff her into a sack, and drag her to the concert...
it isn't "technically" kidnapping if she enjoys it.
.......................................yes

(just ask her genre of music first and nothing else)

That's very interview-y....

That approach wouldn't sit very well with me.

Art, talk to her like you would a friend. You go to the same church right? You could talk about the most recent service or something and let things come up organically from there. Just be sincere.
If you think its going well, go ahead and mention that she caught your eye several years ago and you've always wanted to spend time with her.

Then, ask for her hand in marriage.

There's this girl at my church that is single and in her 30's like me. She's 31 years old and I want to ask to her out but not sure where to take her on a date to. At first I was thinking the movies but I really wouldn't want to see a chick flick and find the movies not be interesting as your sitting in the dark for 2 hours. I was thinking of taking her to a festival in April where I wan to see a rock concert with POD and Skillet performing for $20. This of course would mean I would need to buy 2 tickets then there's parking and food. The concert starts at 7:15 and P.O.D plays till 8:30 p.m. Skillet is the last band and plays at 9:30 till 11:00 p.m. I think a rock concert would be great as we would be out in public then you have your food vendors and rides, etc. The only thing is it might be over crowd as its' at a universality. I am just not sure how to ask this girl out on Sunday. I am not really good at talking to girls and we are both shy around each other.
Unless you just want to go watch a particular movie with someone, why go on a date to a movie? How about dinner or maybe just a cup of coffee. Talk to her and find out about her to see if you two might be a good match.

You can't do that while watching a movie. Unless she behaves herself really badly at the movies, you don't learn much from taking a woman to the movies. Can she sit in a chair for an hour and a half? Yes. Most people can. If you are treating, does she spend too much on popcorn and drinks to the extent that it is inconsiderate? You'd learn the same thing from dinner. If she is a normal, polite person, you aren't going to find much about her from going to a movie with her. But you could find a lot about her by having a conversation.

You are in your '30's. This is serious. Don't waste time by having dates just to have a good time. :)

Btw, you might not want to post a woman's picture on an Internet forum like this. What if she found it? One of her friends or relatives might call her up and tell her they saw her picture on the forum.

I don't want to get married, unless I bring up bring marriage and see what she thinks. Maybe she doesn't want to get married.
