Then I'm happy I could teach some important NT verses, God bless you. :)

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Depends on the high standards that A lot of females have or want. A lot of males show no interest because they know they won't be able to keep the high standards that a lot of females have. So A lot of men tends to shy away and look else were for alternative. I am not saying all females has high standards. But a lot of females won't admit that having high standards is more important than Love. That Goes for males too. The wants for this or that, or to look good in Expensive dresses or suits and shoes. rings, watches diamonds, expensive perfumes, and that just the things they want of the side of the high standards. But everyone is forgetting one word ." LOVE ". So maybe for those who are moaning about they cant find a partner or cant find a husband or wife. Perhaps think about the high standards first to see if there is any room for the real need in your lives, " love "

Again I am not saying all females and males have high standards, But perhaps its an avenue to think about. to those who does have high standards.
I heard many people saying, oh there is nothing wrong having a few or high standards. Well clearly there is, otherwise there wouldn't be a problem finding a partner maybe.
This reminds me so much of a video I watched the other day from a guy named Justin Cox.

I know I'm not welcome to post here because I am single by choice due to age. That and a relationship should in my opinion come naturally when someone meets and decides that they enjoy each others company...

So I'm breaking the rules, not with encouragement, nor ridicule, nor advice... but simply thought and question

Could it be that when focused on being alone and wanting a relationship one creates a selffulfilling philosophy?
exclucing seeking a relationship with Christ of course. That one is always available!

Why do I ask this? Well I used to try so hard to be liked at school... Failed miserably! Then I met Jesus started hanging out with Him. Started thinking only of my relationship with Him. Out of nowhere people started accepting me. No I'm not popular, I'm the odd kid who stutters like crazy. That girl with a book, often The Bible. The one who wears what's comfortable and warm oblivious to which famous person would reject my clothes. I'm that kid... But check this out, people are cool now. They might tease and say hey Jesus girl what's up? But then there are those moments when that super popular guy says, "hey let Alexis be, she knows what makes her happy." best is I'm happy doing what I'm supposed to in Christ's work...

Whats my point? Maybe just focus on Christ, just be you and forget about getting the guy or getting the girl or making the friends and out of nowhere when you least expect it... Someone really cool will be nominated class president and then say, "hey Lexi, want to be my vp?" What I am saying is, that girl that guy might be found if we quit looking....

What do I know I am that kid who brings her lunch and eats in the auditorium seemingly alone... I'm not Jesus is there and I no longer do this because no one wants to eat with me but instead because it's a good time in a busy day to have some one on one Jesus time...

Sorry to post where I don't belong, it's kinda what I'm used to... Feeling like I don't belong, so it felt natural.

Love you all,
lexi

I'm feeling sad because I thought I would have that special someone in my life by now. Of, course, I don't date , don't look to even meet men, I guess I had some magical thinking going on there. But I just want to be held and to hold a special christian man. So, I wind up bugging the heck out of men who don't want a relationship with me at work. I guess I feel safe around them because I know they're not interested.

But your smile is intoxicating.

Have you tried the internet? They have everything on the internet. Your co workers may not be interested but I've met friends who had good success on dating websites (and others who havent, so I guess it's 75/25 or maybe 50/50). Still, keep on keeping on.

And it will be done over and over, and repeated ad nauseam.

Alright, but I want to ask you something: At what point do you see yourself as fit to start dating?

Do you still desire to be with someone, even if you are withholding yourself from relationships?

Lexi, I am the founder of this thread, and I wholeheartedly accept your opinion :)

Except that we have had differing experiences in our relationship with the Lord. When I got saved, all of my friends left me because I wanted to be around a Bible all of the time (lol and I'm not sorry about that!), wanted to avoid doing evil, and wanted to talk about more mature and spiritual subjects. My own family doesn't see me with the sames eyes that they did a few years ago (none of my family is saved except my little brother), and I spend alot of time alone due to a lack of friends (I'm practically the only person my age when I go to church lol).

But I'm so glad to hear how God has blessed you, and is taking care of you :) God bless you!

I'm sorry to hear about your loneliness.

May I ask you something (and please don't take this question as offensive): Why do you feel that it has taken this long? Or, in other words, Why do you feel that that certain someone isn't in your life already?

It is different for sure. Yet similar too. I am the only person in my house who believes. I have other relatives that do believe however. I think what the main difference seems to be is that you had friends when you came to Christ. I simply had nowhere to go but up. When I accepted Christ, my anger and resentment went away thus in time people saw the love. I was still nerdy and uncool just the love slowed the picking on me. Of course maybe it's just my perspective and it doesn't bother me. Possibly I'm still treated the same.

Its sad for us that we can't be cool because we won't go party or do sinful things....

Guess what Art, I think you are cool. Sad though that your friends left when you bettered yourself. I guess they weren't friends. Seems common that people want you to do as they do and confirm them or they have no use for us....

Love you,
lexi

No, actually they were friends. They were my friends for along time, and I even still talked with one that didn't mind my relationship with the Lord and my 'sudden' obsession with the Bible. After a while, though, we grew apart, as we really started losing things that we had in common.

I confess, that one of the things I miss from when I was in the world is the camaraderie. Use to have alot of fun times (and not even sinful activities) with alot of them, and now ... nada (Spanish for nothing :) )

I've been saved for a few years now, and after praying for friends and a girlfriend for all of those years, I'm coming to realize that I truly have been foreordained by the Creator to be alone for the rest of my life, without true friendships and relationships.

Oh well lol. Sounds tough. But yeah.

Sister Alexis, you are welcome to attend any "open" Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and they'll tell you how being cool works out in the real world after a few years.

I hear you! When I said they weren't friends I mean that to me a friend would be there forever no matter what you believe.

Hey, I get you. If I had tons of friends here in my town I'd probably spend less time on here.

However, here on CC Pipp and I became super close friends. I met anothere girl named Brianna who is a great friend, her big sister Lydia as well... Then there is ServentStrike, Ugly, RachelSledge, LilChristian (who I so would like to be closer to).... And so many others... You Art are my friend. It's probably not what you mean as friends but to me it's awesome friendships...
I feel bad I almost forgot my bearded buddy... My piano playing sister who lives here in the same state I do.. My buddy in Carolina! That cool green guy who calls me AlexHis... Aimee who has me bringing her coffee now.. Hermit who guides me with love, Daniel who does the same, that cool boy Talor, that gentleman living in Spain who mails people rarely but takes the time to share scripture and lessons... So many new friends that I fear I have forgotten people.. I know I have and I love them all!

Art, keep running the race! Friends will come your way, the special girl I don't know, that's God's business not mine to even speculate upon.
