I have kidded around a bit, but the bottom line for me is that it's selfish, rude behavior. I know people who are like this for more than one reason.

- Some like to pretend they know everything about everything, so when they come up against something they don't know anything about, they slam that thing to cut the conversation short
- Some are scared of new things, so they cling to the familiar and mock something new
- Some are insecure
- Some have a critical spirit...because they were criticized a lot themselves. It's what they know.

boB, a little dab'll do ya. Some of these responses were really comical. Thanks for the laughs. The cynic in the crowd had me rolling. :D

Hope you get it worked out if this is a true story. I'd be careful about getting too serious before you know more about this "boB".

ps: yes I know I spelled his name backward. ;)

I saw this picture tonight, and it reminded me of this thread:

So next time you see Bob, let him know.

One question - and an important one - Is chocolate involved? It would be totally reasonable for Bob to insult the choice of someone who chose a lemon custard over, say.... a chocolate cheesecake. I would do this too. I would even call into question someone's salvation who chose a lesser dessert over chocolate.

But if chocolate is not involved....yes. He's a jerk. ;)
I agree..but it would have to be dark chocolate or they are going straight to hell :)

Didn't see this thread when it was new.
I can't stand when people shove their likes and dislikes on me. Even if it's over some trivial matter. It's a great way to make me dislike them quickly. Just let people be who they are, and decide if you like the real them or not, ya know? If not, leave them be. Just because someone disagrees with you on something that isn't harming anybody doesn't mean they are broken and need fixing.

See, now you being all Texas proud all the time, I'm starting to have my doubts about you. (Which actually means I have hope for you yet.) Because Texas culture is pretty much guns, trucks, and football. (Granted, it's actually centered around high school and college ball more than the NFL, but considering that there are two major franchises in the state, one being one of the most popular in the nation, Texas really is football central.) I mean, it's the ONLY state with the audacity to tell the other 49 states, "Hey, we think we're so awesome, we're going to make a team out of the very best high school kids just from Texas, and you other 49 states can also make one team of the very best. And we'll do this every year, and the teams play each other every year, so we can thump you and show everyone that Texas is better."

I think Indiana is rubbing off on you, Red. Yay! ^_^
Haha!! I am a texas transplant from Cali...and you are so right..
though I think my cali family is also into football..

every facebook status I see when there is a game on is about some player..or some play
and I am some bored :)

I went to a baseball game with my ex and we left half way through even though I cared that they were running from base to base.sort of :) .well it was actually kind of interesting :) we had great seats:)

Maybe Bob is a trolling, insecure, manipulative, opinionated, extremist control freak that has been it in the head with too many soccer balls. Sorry....I just couldn't resist.

I think this thread is as close as I ever came to trolling. In fact I would call this trolling.

Sorry Popclick.

No, Sally isn't the only one who gets an earful about it. And "Bob" is like this about all of his hobbies. He seems to imply that because he does not enjoy it, then neither should they. Since he finds it "boring", then so should they.

Why would he do this?
Bob is shaking his gloves out and pointing them at you right now. :)
