What? You thought I knew Portuguese? Haha! No. My brother's girlfriend is Brazilian though, so he's been learning some of the local language.

lots of colloquialism and half words in there...equivalents of ur (instead of you are or you're) lol's and others so google translate would have some trouble :p

If you need anything translated, just let me know... I'll gladly do it for you!! :)
But like Carol said...I can translate as well...just the habit to happen to be talking about Brazilian soccer the portuguese just jumped out at me...I couldn't control it hahaha... Me desculpa (Sorry)

:) :)

It wasn't that bad of a day...you had to have expected it...I did...I had joked with friends that they were going to lose 4x0 7x1 is much worse but they were bad...David Luiz and the rest of the defense...if I were the coach...they'd never play again...it was pathetic!! :p (fighting every urge to go portuguese for Katie & others :) :) )

I did not expect us to beat Germany.. but THAT was just... no words to describe it... really... I was able to watch it until the third goal... then I went to my room to sulk... and I was in a terrible mood for quite a while... it got better after Germany defeated Argentina in the finals... but still... it's a would that will never fully heal....

And yeah... it's funny to talk about soccer in English... huahuahuahuahuahua but I'm good!! :D

Technology

For all its woes it does marvelous things. Like the soundtrack I'm trying to make. In the old days I would have to pay a group of people to learn the song and play it in a recording studio to get a soundtrack. Now I can make it myself on a computer, with a MIDI keyboard.

Yay for technology! One of my favorite words!

On a related note, one of my favorite words (well, two of them) are air conditioning. Love it, love it, love it!

I like the word "cuddle." It makes me laugh because my wife always tells me, "you can never just cuddle!"

*sigh* If I used any of those words around here I would get blank looks and complaints about using "big" words.

But with my perspicacity I will see your profundity and raise you an antidisestablishmentarianist.

I check my swing a lot when I'm speaking because I get the same type of complaints. But then of course the thing I choose not to say, ends up being the thing the listener would understand better.

One time I was talking to a customer about the two kittens I had sold her, and she was saying that one of them liked cleaning itself a lot more, and a few minutes later I was about to reference the more fastidious of the two when I caught myself, and she looked at me all smug and said, "fas-ti-di-ous?" as though she was teaching me a new word. Lol. Whatevs.
