I'd date me.... except I'd never ask me to date and the dog would be confused if there were suddenly two of me around. And I'm a total homebody so dating me is staying home together and eating food and watching TV or playing games. Wait I do that now, maybe I am dating me and don't know it.

The way things are going, soon you'll be able to marry yourself.

Not much point in that. I'm stuck with me for life even without a marriage.

It might sound silly, but really think about it.

You know all your strengths, weaknesses and you know what really goes on in your own mind. It's you but another person, if that makes sense...
Knowing all that would you date yourself?
Would you enjoy spending time with yourself? (if it was another being of course)
Would you trust this other you?

Let's have a discussion about this topic, what is everyone's thoughts?
i thought of as many complexities as i could & the answer is yes, i would date a girl just the way i am. in the past, i took myself on 1000's of dates as i married late in life. i never had an abundance of friends.

Would I date a female version of myself? Absolutely! I think I would get along with a soulmate famously. Marriage experts universally found:
- Every way that you are alike your spouse is a credit in your marriage bank...
- And every difference is a debt.
And then they go on to demolish the notion that opposites attract beyond anything but the male/female body.

You can be a better couple when one is skilled at something that the other is not. Makes you more complete. That's a difference between 'nothing' and 'something'... that's very different than the difference between 'something' and 'something different', especially if they are opposing things.

I think most people like outgoing people if they make them more outgoing as well, and the same for faithful, joyful, funny, honest, adventurous, strong, etc; it's a way to be more alike, not different.

To answer the OP questions: "Would you trust this other you?" Yes, I would trust the other "me". Is there anything more important than that?

Not much point in that. I'm stuck with me for life even without a marriage.
Called myself on the telephone
Just to see if I was home
Asked myself out for a date
Picked me up at half past eight

Took myself to the picture show
Sat myself on the very last row
Put my arm around my waist
I got so fresh, I slapped my face!

Bought some roses at the store
Told myself I wanted more
That's why I broke up with me
Now I'm happy cause I'm free

I sure miss me all the time
Wonder if I'm doing fine
Think I'll call myself and see
If I still have a chance with me

Yes...no one is perfect but I'm pretty happy with myself. My ideal person would be a bit more an extrovert but also likes personal/me time.

I would trust me, but I would not date me. I value a fresh perspective and I cannot offer myself that. Also I confuse and annoy myself. I like to believe that I deserve better.

It took me quite some days to ponder on this question, I love doing self introspection from time to time 😁, and my answer is yes....I would date me.
Not gonna do any horn tooting on my behalf, but last evening after having a discussion with a very good male friend of mine it dawned on me I'm a damn good catch 😄😄😄😄😄

I let go that she missed the opportunity with the BWW waiter, but a security guard... let me know when that SMH emoji arrives.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm really out of the loop, but what does BWW and SMH mean????
