This sounds like when I was in the 5th grade and a boy in my class had a crush on me. He showed his appreciation of my existence by stabbing my arm with a pencil to get my attention.

You say that as if it's a bad thing. I would bet that your attention was, indeed, gotten. He achieved what he set out to do.

And women say we men can't accomplish anything. Sheesh.

I've had crushes on guys but I don't know if that's the same as liking someone. You'd think it is, but my crushes were generally from a "distance" of sorts since I didn't know them that well. I've never liked someone and had it returned so I don't know if those "like" feelings are different than "crushes"?

I would always smile real big whenever a crush "liked" something or commented on something on my Facebook. Then if a friend asked why I was smiling so much, I'd say "Oh, nothing." :D

Also, I blush so easily. He could just smile at me and I'd blush. I really don't like it!

When I blush. I'm the same as you Rachel. I'm a sucker for romance too, I had a date recently with someone that I liked quite a bit, he took my hand and kissed it annnnnd....RED! lol Then the 'rational arwen' reminds me not to be so obvious, and play it cool lol. 'Keep your head out of the clouds. Gain some composure girl!' I smile a lot when I like someone. Get a bit giddy and if its going the way of a relationship or its a new relationship, I usually get super distracted.
