JUST a thread to learn a little bit more about each other. :)

I won't explain mine this second but I am guessing a lot of you think somehow that my Piddy Witkinstein is a 'monster.'

I wonder why??? ;)

You could THINK that, of course. We all know 'pits' get a bad rap, but that is not what my avatar says at all. Whenever , in fact, I go to see my sister on the pacific coast her two kids love, love, love Pid, she is VERY respectful of little Rosie and María :)
'Can we play with Piddy, uncle,' they, age 2 and 5, say.

Ok, now, I know some of you change avatars almost as much as a teenagers changes clothes, so....

Put a pic of each avatar and put a caption above or below it, explaining what it means to you and why you chose it. And, I am not mentioning any names of you that change avatars all the time, zere, julieannie :D
Ok, all, have fun :)

Mine is a no brainer really being a wedding photo of mine. But the thing about it I love, that no one else can see cos the pic is so small is how giant my grin is. I look rather like a goofy clown with a face that looks really to explode.

I was just uber happy thats all.

It's Maki, my birman mix kitten. Despite being a cat, she's got few puppy like traits like: loves to bite (playing) and likes to fetch :)

i like the Q's you ask, green.
they're insightful.
i change my avatar to express my heart. this one is a pic from the movie courageous which i finally saw for the first time this week and have since watched it 4 times. it is a loud statement on my heart the one the movie makes. but also.

i still feel like the little girl in my picture. tho i am 25 years old? in many ways i never grew up. and i identify with teens and children. when i look in the mirror i see a kid, and not a young woman.
just sorta thinking about the fact that i never grew up and wondering when i will.
how beautiful would this world be if everyone had what they needed.

My avatars usually reflect my mood. Sometimes funny/silly, sometimes scripture, sometimes withdrawn..I never know. I was in a bit of a daydreaming mood when I put this one up.

Mine it's a picture of me on a mission trip in Los Angeles on 2009, we were going to Papua New Guinea. All the pics of that trip are very significant to me cause that trip is was awesome to me :) Wycliffe is a mission organization that works to translate the Bible for people that don't have the Bible in their own mother tongue. ;)

Dothack0, my good fine-weathered Christ bro, bird bud, I always wondered what in the world that cool avatar stood for, thanks, I am ALWAYS praying for you now, young man, that you continue to FIND Him your maker of everything in your life, so real that seeking God will seek like playing the virtualest of reality video games :)

Darkness fighting the light. You and I forget which gal said similar. But THAT is what it is all about, God calls us to be SALT of the EARTH and LIGHT (to the world) . Live your life OUT LOUD, as SCChapman would say, and, your life will BE tough for being these TW0 things, but that is when you FLY to Jesus and live (Yes, that is a line from one of my favorite songs top of the christian pop charts now ) :)

I have not seen that movie, k, but I hope to, a father is so important to a child, and, daughter, as your avatar shows. There is something unlike nothing else that God has put on this planet with that relationship. My 5-year-old niece really likes her dad a lot and see that and I try to be in the background but she as well is a special little gal to her uncle too, not too mention her dear 2-year old sis, Rosie :) And, my nephew too, he is a great young man , all of 11 , and, growing maturer every time I see him :)

God says we must be like a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, that innoncence I think that speaks of, never lose that sense of wonder and awe of life and sweetness that is God's and God in this Earthly universe we live :)

lizzietheone, I could only multi-quote three folk, so, you are the fourth, but you are never fourth fiddle to me, milady :)

Sure, David said these words of 'mercy' in your avatar, and, he received great mercy from God if I remember all correctly, I might need scripture re-read but let's just go with this and anyone that wants to look up Samuel 1 and, I think 2, too, can to rectify my speakings :D

David sinned with Bathsheba, having sex with Bathsheba, who was already the wife of Uriah, and, what's worse, David then ordered Uriah to be put on the front lines where he was killed, this done by King David to cover up his sin with Bathsheba.

Then David had a child with Bathsheba, as she had become pregnant from their one-night love affair (anyone want to sing a little Bryan Adams, but please remember, a ONE NIGHT LOVE AFFAIR will have irreversible, unspeakable consequences, like I need to tell you all now ;) ) . Bathsheba then had a child and God told David BEFORE the child was born that that CHILD WOULD DIE.

David prayed to God not to have that child die, putting sackcloth and ashes on his head, but God STILL had the child born and then QUICKLY die after being newly born :(

)_____)
David then did what the guy in 'The Descendants' should have done, REPENTED, CRIED out to God that he made a mistake (by the way, and, I don't want to SPOIL it for you so close your eyes for this next part, but George Clooney's wife had an affair with a guy who would turn out to be the real estate agent for Clooney's multi-million land sale. Clooney gave this real estate guy a CHANCE to make right by coming to his house but the guy only thought of 'Don't let my wife find out.' and Clooney, against all his brothers and sisters wishes and such, was the executor of the land, and, he did not SELL because of the real estate dude's affair with his wife one night. The real estate dude's take would have been around 7% on 9 million dollars.... I think it was . Good movie, 'The Descendants.' :)

Anyway, where was I, and, sorry if I bored ya, and, rambled off too much, this is my thread though, I can DE-RAIL it can't I ??"? :D

_______________
So, yeah, lizzietheone, mercy was given to David to the Nth degree ! Because why? Because David REPENTED, as I said before, because David realized his wrongdoings, including MURDER, pre-meditated at that, if you want to call it that, and, it WAS that !!, and, he CRIED out to God for forgiveness and mercy :)

God forgave him soon as the first word left his lips because his mercy reaches out as far as the Heavens. :) That's the truth from The Truth, our Savior, our Jesus :)

Julieannie, I like all your cool avatars of your moods , I bet it would be cool to see you wearing a mood ring :D Kinda tongue 'n cheek I say that, milady. :) You, with your flowing red hair ladies and other avs, and, zere, with his peek-a-boo and other crazy cat avs are always fun to see :)

Cool, ErikaY, I went on a trip to Charlotte, NC in 1996 that was AWESOME, God showed me soooo much. Missions trips are so cool . I wish I went on more :( The Lord leads. That was a trip of a lifetime, to be sure, God worked in soo many ways through sooo many of us from my church :)

It means my face with some edits and effects. :p
You are one handsome black and white 'effected' dude, Koopa :D
______
KnightofChrist - your avatar 'L' is cool too, I am not real familiar with anime but I think it is cool art. That just looks like an calligraphic 'L' to me :D

That's not to say it's not cool, it is just a calligraphic 'L' . :)
