i guess ill go first i hope others respond lol heres a poem i wrote
MY GETAWAY
music is my getaway
sumwhere were i can stow away
take the pain of my day and dance or rap it all away
but pain dont stay away
i dont deal with it everyday
the reason?
i dont know i guess i sorta lost my way
but what im sayin here today is god will be my getaway
when i cannot feel away
when the music stop playin and the mp3 is put away
he will help me in any way
he should be my getaway
dancin is my getaway when the musics playin everyday
i move until it goes away
i consider it a form of praise but really its a everyday
way i release myself from however i am feeling
in or out of a building
under stars or a ceiling
its a wonderful feeling
but it only last a while
like the migraine that u have when u took tylenol
dancin is the only swagg i got
probly why im fly at all
but when im too tired or ive ridden a beat so well
my heart still sags feels pain and isnt real well
when that options failed
i know my real getaway
my secret paradise thats only a prayer away
freinds are my getaway
they help forget and put away
things that weigh me down
and make me melancholy in my day
i help then with their problems askin nothing in return
i still look for someone to help me when its my turn
to let out my feelings i wonder will they understand
or will it be just rambling on the phone
wishin they could help da man
but i realized sumthin i fell off of
my one true getaway the
hill i get my help from
so i will look there when i feel the way i do
whether its about a close freind a secret problem or an ex boo

We die to sin
We die to death
We die with Christ
With Him we'll rest
Our lives are full of death
Yet we hide from it, frightened
Until we die one final time
To live with our Father, forever lightened
Death, our final victory
Holds us in fear
It tears us apart
And brings us to tears
But by His grace
And by His love
Hush now... for death comes quickly
And with it, Life from above.

Does it have to be poetry to do with God? Only asking because my poetry is a lot about life but really God has been part of why i write so i see God as being in my poetry even though it doesn't say it out right in some of it. faced death so many times i can describe it to the T
i was told i had somethin to do
i was someone to be....
but its difficult tryna be him in this world you see
problems to the left temptation on the right
thisl said it best himself get up i gotta fight!
harder to walk faith i can talk it for days
im still in high school stuck in old habits and ways
hard to read cuz i have fully scheduled days
man im only 16 and i find it hard to praise
but when i can i do i find it reliveing then
im reminded pain and trials are only for a season
please try him and believe him
he wont leave u needing

we not as close no more im loosin ground quickly
for instance i was this close to fightin a fellow christian
and if it wasnt for you sermons and lessons
i wouldve needed repentence
in need of some assistance my book stays closed
my bread of life stays rapped up
i need to feed my self
but its really hard to me
sometimes i just wanna be by myself
but i never truly am you are near me always
when im good and when im crazy its completly
amazing

im back once again lord askin for you to save me

Let us laugh
It starts as a thought
Traveling slowly down you
Then moving back to your mouth
You feel a smirk coming about your lips
A little sound
Not much at first
A growing happiness comes upon you
As your laugh comes into full being
A thunderous, melodious sound fills the air around you
You are smiling now
Quite content to be silent
But just for a bit
Thinking more about what you have just laughed at
You just can’t help yourself
You must laugh more

Laughing with you
A joyous laugh that fills everything around you
