And btw, don't tell me that I need to research it more. I have been doing so for the last two or three years, in at least one class per year. I don't have all the information yet either, I am still looking for more information, and what original animals might have looked like, and what animals are more closely related to each other and such.

The reason I believe in God is not because I have proven his existence.
But more that God has shown his existence to me.
Be not deceived, for The flying spaghetti monster doesnt answer prayer

Romans 1:18-21
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

If Im wrong, then theres no consequence.
Yet if those who dont believe there is but one God are wrong......

Since my first post was with you I'll continue, The idea of evolution is that each creature grows for the better over time. Darwin acknowleded that is numberous species have or had started into life at once, the fact would be fatal to the Theory of Evolution, BUT i assume you knw this with all your studies. Does the evidence indicate that numberous species came into existance at the same time or does it point to a gradual devlopment, as evolution holds to?

Today Chemists have no clear cut answer to how life begins, or starts to evelove. Not a single chemists has ever been able to to suceed in reproducing life from nothing or from natures non-living matter. ALSO KNWN AS LIFE

Not to over post the thread, I'll ask you a simple question of your years of knowledge of evolution. With over 10 million fossels filed and cataloged there isnt One single string showing a slow progressive string of ANY creature that eveloved. So, my question is, if the T-Rex was a species that eveloved from nothing and was a product of a slow progressive development, why was it necessary for it to develope a sex organ, whil is was eveloving? I assume the T-rex for it size had to take a time a littler longer then the rat to evelove to its size should have left behind many fossels. yet only approx 25 skulls exsist of the t-rex. What is your best guess of time it took to evelove from nothing to its size, and only leave a few bone behind?

To the other who jumped in the comments, the bible doesnt claim a 6 day Creation or ever has....In fact Gen 1:3-31 tells the Heavens and Earth already exsisted before creature were put upon it. Compare the time to 2 Peter 3:8 Thus the days of Gen could have been thousands of yrs long, it just doesnt say

Well, they could be buried deeper than the others, be up in the mountains, or even underwater in either a lake or an ocean. And things came to a gradual splitting based on where those the animals were. Low temp, then those with thicker fur live longer to pass on the trait, and so on and so forth. And as for my guess on the amount of time, I would say at least a thousand or two thousand generations to get to that size.

But that's where you're wrong, the spaghetti monster does answer prayers for I have spoken to him (just like many others) many a time. The FSM (his noodlyness) loves us all, even you! He'll be waiting for you when you die and welcome you into his marvellous holy afterlife (you don't need to be a pastafarian) where you can drink from the sacred beer volcanoes which the FSM himself drank from.
It takes some pretty bad stuff to get into hell (basically the same as heaven but the beer's stale) like eating macoroni or bad mouthing pirates.

Willot, I assume you're here to learn about the people on this site and what they believe, rather than to shake anybody's faith.

So, may I have the opportunity to respectfully learn what you believe on this issue?
Am I correct in assuming that you don't believe in supernatural beings of any kind? Angels, demons, ghosts, fairies, leprechauns, etc?

Of course you can, I don't believe in supernatural beimgs such as leprechauns, angels, demons etc.
If you want the full defininition of what I am here it is.
I'm an atheistic agnostic but I don't have an objection to a deism. In short, I don't believe in a personal god.
I'm an existential nihilist meaning I don't believe we exist in this vast cosmos for any particular reason or purpose.
I'm also an ethical nihihilist which means I don't believe that anything is either inherently right or wrong. For instance, I could steal from a shop but it is neither a right nor wrong thing to do as there is no moral truth. Go do some research on moral/ethical nihilism, it's very interesting.
I think that pretty much covers it to be honest.

Sheesh, sorry. Well you asked why logic is a good thing to use for measuring truth? I think.
Well logic isn't always the best evidence, empirical evidence is. For instance, Zeno preposed that achilles couldn't catch the tortoise. But we know that he could catch the tortoise thus defying the logic of his preposition.
I see no empirical evidence for ID or even a theistic god.

And yet, I'm sure you wouldn't particularly appreciate getting murdered, so do you object to rules and laws governing behavior? If you want these rules to be in place, then how should they be established?

Lol, I already knew what it was.

Personally, I wouldn't appreciate getting murdered but that doesn't make killing me a wrong thing to do.
If I may quote Nietzsche "You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.”

As for new rules being put in place then it would need to be legislated, assuming we're talking about laws.
If we're talking about our moral guidelines then they should just be established by following them ourselves.

I mean, how should the laws (if you think there should be any) be concocted? Regardless of right/wrong, should it be legal, in your opinion, to kill another person?

Laws shouldn't regard things being right or wrong in my opinion. They should benefit the human species in one way or another. For instance, murder being illegal to prevent loss of human life. Stealing being illegal to prevent anarchy and chaos etc etc. Of course stealing would benefit you, but it's a loss to the group as a whole.

Evolution of morality - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I find that to be a good article on the subject, I'm not saying that it's 100% infallible or anything but it's a good article lol

I understand the school of thought, I was just wondering if you subscribed to it. Thanks for your time.

If something WAS 100% infallible, one might be forced to declare it "right". ;)

Ok brother, I hear where ur comin from...if I may ask your opinion, from a scientific perspective... if we have light, do you believe then that there is such a thing as dark?

I've heard something like this before.
It goes along the lines of "no dark is absence of light"
And all that other stuff then it ends up being
"Evil is absence of God"
It doesn't explain though why some people who claim to be Christians commit evil and those who are followers of other religions or no religion at all can do good.
To quote Einstein
"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."

Forgive me if I'm jumping to conclusions but I've heard something similar before.

Yes thats where I was leading to.
Not that evil has to be present in the absence of God, but it gives much more opportunity.
Yet even if a person is the best person in the world, does everything right, never breaks a law etc. if there is still the absence of God in such an individual, and one doesnt believe, its just as unfortunate.

If you are the best most moral person you can be, and the only thing left to do is accept the Lord.
Would that not be just one last easy step?
Since Jesus told us no one comes to the father but by him
Also that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord.
I just choose to have done so now rather than later.

Its not that Im trying to make you believe the way I do my friend
Its more that Id like for you to open your heart to the kind of Love and wisdom and guidance we arent able to achieve through our own merits.
And yes you made a good point, if we do so just because were afraid or looking for a reward, that shouldnt be the goal.
We learn to love him.....because he first loved us.
We do so to please our father
God being our father, we as his children.
Many people have a not so great experience of being parented, disciplined incorrectly, taught incorrectly etc and may not understand once we grow up what the ongoing guidance of a perfect father can be for ones life.
You have the right to choose, just think about it a little more for me.
Its the most important decision you can make for your life.
If you would still like proof...try to take notice of the prophecies which were written many moons ago in revelation that are unfolding in our lifetime.
It is said if a prophet is of God, he is right 100 percent of the time and never wrong.
So far every prophecy in the bible has been fulfilled, and the rest are unfolding still to be revealed to us, if you keep a watchful eye for them, even if its just for the sake of interest
That may help some, if not thats alright,
I respect your humor and intellect, and call you my friend Willot.
Im not perfect nor better than you in any way, I just care

Since we have evidence for Mico Evolution I believe in it, however the same can not be said about Macro Evolution in my opinion! :D

This is a Christian site, I wonder why there is so many people (28%) that believe in evolution, I do not understand how you can believe in the Bible, yet not believe that God created this earth? You can't pick and choose what you want to believe in the Bible, it's all or nothing, if there was one thing in the Bible that is wrong then the whole Bible would be a lie, just sayin'.
