In the beginning, God created the earth and rested.

Then God created Man and rested.

Then God created Woman.

Since then, neither God nor Man has rested. :D

Not only is this not true, but it's also silly and probably even blasphemous...

Not EVERYTHING you don't like in the forums is trolling you know. Be careful who you call a troll, especially when it concerns a brother in Christ, it's very offensive.

Whether God has a sense of humor doesn't have anything to do with this silly thread. Fact is there's nothing in the Bible to suggest God HAS a sense of humor. It's mentioned in the Psalms God does laugh, but only to mock his adversaries, and that can only hardly be seen as proof of Him having a sense of humor.

Psalm 2:4 "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision."
Psalm 37:13 "The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming"
Psalm 59:8 "But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision."

it also says we were created in his image, do you think he would give his best creation such a great sense of humor if he also didnt have one? it's as illy thread, nothing to get so upset about

That we are made in God's image means we resemble God in a way, but that doesn't mean the opposite is also true. Man may have been made in God's image (Genesis 1:27), but that doesn't mean we share our sense of humor with Him. Using your argument we could attribute all kinds of human attributes to God, even and especially the bad ones. But GOD isn't like the ancient anthropomorph gods of greece and egypt. And IF God does have a sense of humor, don't you think He would have laughed a bit more in the Bible?

Newluke, I agree that we should be careful about throwing around the troll word, but we should also be careful with throwing around the blasphemy word.

Like I said, you seem like a good guy, but you're a little hot headed, as I was when I was younger.

Evidence that God has a sense of humor:

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Am'alek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Am'alek prevailed.
12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13 And Joshua discomfited Am'alek and his people with the edge of the sword.

How is that funny? :D

Actually that was the first time I used the word 'blasphemy' in the Forums. When someone ridicules God with silly jokes that does come close to blasphemy to me. Mind you, I said 'it's PROBABLY blasphemy.' At least I'm being cautious.

I appreciate your post though.

Just because it looks funny to you doesn't mean God has humor. It's beak is perfect for finding food, and you should see how fast a platypus can swim under water. It's one of God's perfect creatures, that in itself is amasing, there's nothing funny about it.

I don't really see nothing wrong with God having humor, I mean...Christ was a human like us, he surely found something funny at least once in his life; he was God's son, and after all the Son, the Father and the Spirit are one, right?. I think we all got it wrong, the truth is no one here knows what kind of humor God has, maybe He finds it funny to see us arguing over His humor. I seriously don't think neither of you is right. :)

It's funny because evolutionists can't find out where it evolved from (even though it was clearly created and didn't evolve. *sigh* sad day for evolutionists)... ;) :D

Now this is God's sense of humor right here :D

God or Baal on Mount Carmel

20 So Ahab sent a message among all the sons of Israel and brought the prophets together at Mount Carmel. 21 Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you [i]hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord, but Baal’s prophets are 450 men. 23Now let them give us two oxen; and let them choose one ox for themselves and cut it up, and place it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other ox and lay it on the wood, and I will not put a fire under it. 24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” And all the people said, “[j]That is a good idea.”
25 So Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one ox for yourselves and prepare it first for you are many, and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.” 26Then they took the ox which [k]was given them and they prepared it and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon saying, “O Baal, answer us.” But there was no voice and no one answered. And they [l]leaped about the altar which [m]they made. 27 It came about at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Call out with a loud voice, for he is a god; either he is occupied or gone aside, or is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened.” 28 So they cried with a loud voice and cut themselves according to their custom with swords and lances until the blood gushed out on them. 29 When midday was past, they [n]raved until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice; but there was no voice, no one answered, and no [o]one paid attention.

Hehehehe... :D this actually does make me laugh.

Totally! I always get a laugh out of God's sarcasm when He told Job:

1Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,
2“Who is this that darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

3“Now gird up your loins like a man,
And I will ask you, and you instruct Me!

4“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding,

5Who set its measurements? Since you know.

...

19“Where is the way to the dwelling of light?
And darkness, where is its place,

20That you may take it to its territory
And that you may discern the paths to its home?

21“You know, for you were born then,
And the number of your days is great!
