What you listen to is a personal decision between you and God. Its no one elses business. If you're comfortable with it, then listen. Though if you're listening to secular i will say, what you feed into you will come out as well. Personally i don't listen to much secular music because i don't enjoy all the junk in the lyrics. I also notice too much secular music has a negative effect on me. So i stick to Christian based rap and other styles of music.

When I was a baby Christian I busted all 10 of my CDs. I was convinced that anything that didn't directly talk about God was wrong. About 15 years later, I do not hold to the same beliefs. There is certain secular music I can't stand. Content wise, my skins crawls when I hear illicit songs about sex, violence, etc. I can't stand to listen to them. I feel like I've invade someones private moment. I do listen to Christian music, but even then I'm choosy. I may not always been listen to worship. I may listen to raw songs about someone hurting, but there is always hope, or in essence the song is a prayer.
I have to pay very close attention to what I listen to. Sometimes I have to switch off Ben christian songs because of the place they are coming from. I know
In my spirit that it could drag me down even with the hope in the song. So I have to be choosy with food music too.
