I was reading Genesis, and I came across this verse : 6) "Then God said,'let there be a firmament in the in the midst of the waters, let it divide the waters from the waters.' 7)Thus God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under firmament from the waters that were above the firmament; and it was so. 8) And God called the firmament Heaven. so the evening and the morning were the second day." It really confused me, because, for one, he divided the waters above the firmament from the ones below.And two, firmament means atmosphere or the vault of heaven or sky. So what would it mean when it says that?
