Wow, no response yet? I am not sure that there is a rule against or for hair styles. I am sure that some would say that it should be something humble. I think it should be whatever you are comfortable with.

I personally shave my head as I am trying to defeat nature's attempt at making me look stupid by all the hair on top of my head falling out.

Well, on the subject of EMO, I don't think THAT is appropriate.... but that's just me. If you asked a certain one of my friends, he'd tell you that it's okay... but me personally, I think christians should have hair that maches their happiness at being one of God's children ;)
Me, I've tried coloring my hair, I've tried going with black, but it was never emo. :)
My hair is a little over shoulder length, light brown, and I have side-swept bangs.

I forgot to say this:
God says a womans head should be covered (as in, hair-wise).
Another thing is, that a womans hair is her crown of glory, it should be beautiful to match it's possition. See? even hair has a purpose in life :D God made it that way... I love that guy... :p

I agree with you in that one. We should also remember that emos and darks appart from their style they have a philosophy, a lifestyle. From what I know emos and darks wear black and they reflect on the sadness and their inner nothingness of life (that for them life's not worth living). They mostly listen to the bands My Chemical Romance, Tokio Hotel and Good Charlotte.
In May 2008 Hannah Bond, a 13-year-old girl from Kent, hung herself, and Emo music was blamed for her suicide. The coroner suggested that because Bond was so obsessive with that music that it was linked to her death.
I agree we should wear with light colours cause dark and emo clothes as their hearstyles reflect their inner sadness and negative perspective about life, and when you wear that it makes you feel that way. There are certain clothes, hairstyles and music that makes you feel that way.
So all in all, clothes and hairstyles can affect your life and who you gather with, your group of friends, etc.
So, you need to be careful cause the Bible says that “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. 1 Cor. 10:23

I know what EMO is, I know what Goth is...what are "Darks"?

And not everyone who wears dark colors is a negative person. I wear all black, but I have a much different meaning behind then negativity and sadness.

Well shoot. Yeah! I wear black, just about all the time.... okay, most of my clothes are dark colors... just cuz I look really good in dark colors. :)
But! there is a difference in black, hard, and cold looking colors, an black, but soft, cute, warm, and nice looking...some peeps have black hair, and look good on it. :) but they don't overdo it. Some peeps wear dark colors (me for example) but they don't overdo it ;)
But ultimately, it is your choice. Go for a cute look :p
One that matches your face shape ;)

Can I ask wether this is old or new testament? If it is new that is fine, but if it is old it is more than likely subject too Jesus saying tha you should not hold to all of the written law(or the old testament, I.e. the clean and unclean foods)

Hair depends on culture entirely in my opinion, women normally wear theirs long everywhere, but somet African American wear theirs short or bald, "emo-style" hair can be more accurately called "scene" is sub-cultural and completely acceptable.

And about the emo stuff earlier, Emos are constantly misunderstood, the title of emo means emotionally unstable, some being overwhelmingly sorrowful, others painstakingly HAPPY, and most people you'd call emo are probably scene, and like their names suggest all about making a scene. I'm friends with a lot of these people, that's how I know.

My hair has always been kind of short. I tried growing it out but it gets too out of control. Sometimes I spike it up even though I end up looking like some dude from twilight. D:

Blessings

I'm kinda into alot of punk and emo type things, I think people should be able to do with their hair what they want, where I've been raised though we are tought that if it is not really long than we are gonna go to hell for it....seriously. I do not agree with that teaching, I often times go for kind of an emo/punkish look to my hair, makeup, and the way I dress.
