Who knew that yoga pants & leggings would cause so much hostility? Shame. Total shame. :)

IMO I think how the majority of wearers of yoga pants are seen in public should help us see the truth..... We shouldn't forget that how we act & what we wear can get us classified with the majority.

Dear ccers,

I'd love to hear your opinion.
Maybe you've read this blog (Why I Chose To No Longer Wear Leggings)
about a woman, who decided to stop wearing close pants and stuff.
What do you think? Guys: Do you have a problem with yogapants?
Girls: How do you deal with it?

God bless you,
Channa

Let's just get this straight.

YOGA PANTS ARE NOT REAL PANTS.

They are for...shock of the day, yoga. Now, if you want to wear them in the comfort of your own home, that's entirely up to you. But out in public...unless you're wearing something like a sweater dress, refrain from it.

If someone does wear yoga pants in the general public, I don't judge or condemn them. That's silly. BUT. That is my opinion on yoga pants.

First of all, I don't think Christians realize the eastern roots of Yoga and the strong anti-Christian religion it embraces...

The Olympics were originally dedicated to the gods, does that mean christians should boycot them? Yoga doesn't have to be about spirituality at all, if you don't like that kind of thing. Then it's just a good work out, for both body and mind. So if you already own yoga pants, by all means, go practise yoga. :)

(... and please, ONLY wear them we you do)

Oh :(
Half of my wardrobe has yoga pants.
*throws her go pants into fire incinerator*.. "Into the fire you go, farewell!" :(

In my personal opinion, I try make yoga pants... "functional". Use them for their serve purpose.. like running or any physical activity. Not, to go grocery shopping? Unless, you are running around the shopping aisle...and you have a stop watch..

Guys. The point of this question is not about yoga. And obviously it comes down to the girl making her own choice. The question here seems to be more of do these kinds of clothing, when worn on women, have any affect on you as a male, because of the tighter nature of the clothes.

The simple answer for most men will be yes. How a woman dresses, be it tight clothing, revealing clothing, low cut/short clothing, etc.. is going to have an affect on most men. Period.

If we want to get into the blame game, both men and women are responsible. Men are responsible to do their best to control their thoughts and where their eyes go, but women are also responsible for how much they reveal about their bodies and display it. Neither gender is exempt, though many times people like to put alllll the blame on one or the other.
In reality the bible says that if someone is weak and struggling with an issue it is the responsibility of the person that may cause the stumble to change, at least in the presence of the weaker person. Which is the opposite of what most Christians seem to believe. The person struggling is already doing their part, which is why they are in a struggle.

Also there is the consideration that the vast majority of guys are not trying to contain their lust. If a woman walks around in clothes that may get a mans attention on her body, you are responsible for causing people to lust after you. Granted unless you want to go Muslim and wear head to toe garb, then you have a risk of this anyways. But dressing in a manner that increases that chance by putting emphasis on your body falls on you.
The issue always falls onto 'Christian men shouldn't lust'. But even if we eliminated lust among Christian men, the bible still speaks of dressing modestly. And you still have the majority of non-Christian men willing and seeking to lust, and providing that opportunity as a Christian still falls on you i believe.
I couldn't care less about the effect on guys. That's there problem. I dress for myself n if that includes tights then ... get over it guys
