growing up I have heard of generational curses. I've heard that sexual abuse is one of them. This has happened to ppl n my family including me. however my mom became a christian b4 she had me. Shouldn't the blood cover that kinda stuff? Personally I don't believe that there is generational curses once you become Gods. Am I wrong?? and is sexual abuse a generational curse?

This has happend to all the women in my family as well... me, my mom, my sister, my grandmother, her sisters, my grandmothers mom.. I dont believe in curses per say. but i do wonder... why does it happen in certain families more than in others....

the blood can fix all things, yes. Will knowledge of an ancestor's wrong actions influence a mind? yes... because of the loss of innocence. However, knowing your ancestor made a certain decision doesn't automatically mean you or your family will find the concept palatable enough to adopt it for themselves.

I believe generational curses have to be confronted and broken. They don't just fall away. I think this is because it is due to demonic spirits, so they don't just wander off and leave the family when someone gets saved. Here are a couple of articles:

Generational Curses

How to Break a Generational Curse

The first one, I've skimmed and seems all right, but you must ALWAYS take things and put them alongside the word of God, remembering that God's word is always right. So, when they quote Scripture, don't just take their word for it. Open up the Bible and read it in context.

I haven't read the second article at all. I am basically saying that I don't endorse either article fully, but I have briefly read the first one and used it once before for another thread, and it seems okay to me.

mystdancer, how can you endorse articles without reading them?
Anyway back to the question, when you receive Christ, your sins are forgiven. Well, the sins of your ancestors are not if they weren't repented of way back then.
