So I'm really trying to figure out what to do with my next summer/year or so. I am graduating high school early and am looking (frantically because time is running out) for some sort of organization or program that is (or isn't) christian and that lets me travel and make some sort of a difference in the world! Preferably something that isn't going to cost me my first-born, (but I do realize that all of the programs I have ever looked at are expensive). Time isn't really an issue, although I wanted to spend a few months!
Just let me know if you've tried it or heard of it and what its about!
Thank you so much!

I don't know much about schools and what not, but the school I've researched is a school called Charis Bible College. I know that there is some missionary work involved before you can graduate. The college doesn't offer any sort of degrees, I think, though.

Junebug, here's a way you can make a difference in the world (in people's hearts; the very best kind of world-changer, as it's an everlasting one :)) without having to pay any money or get a passport. Click this link: http://christianchat.com/christian-singles-forum/35758-you-guys-please-read-girls-too.html There's also YWAM (youth with a mission), my dad went there 35 years ago. Not sure how the group's doing now, but they go different places. They may require you to study first, I'm not sure. Also, don't be afraid to just take a break from school and take a job, or a part time job and take some community college classes. It will save you a lot of money if you go the community college route, and even if it's just to have a few fun classes, it'll get you used to things and make your first year at college easier, especially if you save most of the money you earn :). Also, if you do take a part time job, I hope it's in the area that you think you want to enter, partly because people often realize that they actually hate the field they thought that they loved.
